its just like a female asking how do I get pregnant without sperm. Go and study to write GRE, TOEFL might not really improve your profile

Some set of people here who are lovers of this thread have come together and decided to give back to this our great thread by given discount to intending student that are willing to write GRE or TOEFL or SAT in order to use it and get funding or assistant-ship from the schools they are applying to.

Only 10 people will benefit from this initiative and with genuine reasons. You can book down any slot at all and this offer will last in the middle of February 2017 which is Valentine's day..

Do not PM or send me private message because it going to be an open offer right inside this thread, also do no ask me who are these people because they wish to be anonymous.

I am highly interested in the GRE offer. I have written TOEFL and GRE twice, and the GRE scores have been abysmal (both are < 295). Even though, I lost a grad position in a Supervisors lab due to the low GRE, I have tried to apply to few schools, to try my luck. It seems most schools rate the GRE highly. Kindly encourage me to write the exam again with this offer, coz am a bit frustrated. I have both M.Sc. and B.Sc in Nigeria with very good grade. God bless

Not to discourage but if you have written it twice.... then what to say your score the third time will not be the same

You have to figure either what you are doing wrongly or vastly see what you can do that improves your GRE learning ability. I dont mean just answering questions but for each one u fail understand the principle / foundation behind the answer ....Best of luck

Thanks Lagosismyhome. I understand your point, but I believe you learn new things each time you fail. My GRE story is not a good one to tell cos of the financial and mental implication. It's the first exam I have ever written twice. Nevertheless, I will not allow a 'GRE challenge' hinder my bigger dream ahead. I will take to your advice since you can't do the same thing over and over, expecting different result.
Thanks again.

When i see people say, suggest schools, i assume you are just looking for an escape route and not really passionate about getting that masters. The school that works for A might not work for B because we all have different dreams and aspirations. What if someone gives you a school you cant afford or a school that cant give you funding? So get to work and search for schools that meet your dreams et al. To save you some stress start from this website http://graddecision.org/ to know the application process, So step 1) Decide on the course you want to study 2) Search for schools using a) www.google.com b)www.gradschools.com c)www.msinus.com d) www.usnews.com e) www.4icu.org . 3) check up the website of the schools you find to see the requirements. most schools will require GRE and some will require both gre and toefl, its good to do all this exam to at least have a chance at funding. 4) register for standardize exam and take it 5) Send your application and back it up with prayers. While checking schools, shortlist them according to cost of living in that city, opportunity for Funding, your research interest etc. funding depends on your GPA,LORS, SOP,GRE/TOEFL SCORE.. Cheers

Hey.A good friend got his passport with Student visa loss right here in USA. Please what are the necessary procedures the guy need to do in order to be reissued another international passport and visa back and where does he need to visit.

I learnt there is Nigeria embassy in Atlanta, Washington and new York.

Please cogent and concrete contribution would be highly appreciated

You'll need to need to let the Nigerian embassy/consulate as well as the US embassy where you got your visa know about it. You need to get a new passport as well as new visa.
For the Nigerian embassy, everything you need is here: http://www.nigeriaembassyusa.org/index.php?page=passports or http://www.nigeriahouse.com/newpassport.aspx depending on which location you decide to go to. Once you get your new passport, to get a new visa..you'd have leave the country and go appear for an interview. You'll need a police report in addition to other documents for both.

I think every GRE aspirant should tag to this guy.

I saw his score on the test and was like..."His head is there!!! smiley "

Coupled with rigorous study of the inundating available materials, you should be able to glean some tidbits on how to ace the GRE test from him.
