its possible for you not to recieve OTA update on the fone, cauz most resellers flash a customised miui rom which include googleplay services n google play store n d neceaasary google frameworks on most xiaomi phones, these are called RESELLER or SHOP rom, unless you flash an officia miui rom... for confirmation you can upload d screenshot of ya bout phone here, i will tell u if the rom is official or a reseller's rom
