I understand what you are saying. however, the end result is to have sex. it follows that women can choose who they decide to have sex with. in the way a woman can't determine who will approach them, a man can't determine who will say yes to them.
while men can chose who they approach, women can chose who they say yes too, hence,

the sexier the woman, the larger the sample size of suitors in which to pick a partner, AND, the more women a man approaches, the higher the likelihood of one saying yes.
