dckng16:Hardship? The Wedding Party Projected To Make More Than N300M Before End of February Nigerians are trooping to the cinemas and spending .more money than they did during the 16 years of rule of the corrupt PDP. President Buhari's executive order against piracy of Nollywood movies is working. I spent my birthday on fact finding visit to an office that gives me box office updates on Nigerian cinemas. And the news that has made my day is that "The Wedding Party" has made more than N290 million so far and projected to make more than N300 million over the Valentine week if they up the ante of the current momentum. By local standards, this is awesome for a Nollywood movie that was made with only N60 million! The ELFIKE Film Collective should pop more champagne. The Nollywood comedy, "A Trip To Jamaica", that they said made the Guinness World Records is still second with about N180 million. My conclusion ends on a positive note that a Nollywood movie can make US$2M from Nigerian cinemas if well marketed. Four key things matter and they are: 1. Popular culture screenplay. 2. Good influential cast. 3. Good professional crew and 4. Good marketing plan. Thanks to Femi Odugbemi, Dr. Phil Osagie, Oga Bisi Daniels, Chike Ibekwe, Christabel Momodu, Nunnsi Ojong, Lancelot Imasuen and others who called, prayed and wished me "Happy Birthday!". A beautiful young actress and former beauty queen sang me happy birthday and another beautiful young actress loaded my phone with enough credit for one month. She also acknowledged me publicly on Instagram with my fine picture. Let me enjoy my Domino supermarket's cake and cookies with apple juice. Cheers!

I think people use this 'Tuface is an illiterate' phrase to comfort themselves. By your argument, Microsoft and Facebook are both owned by illiterates. I dare you to call either Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg an illiterate. You just can't! Not even in your dreams. If your definition of an illiterate is someone who cannot speak or write English very well then you are not really smart. We have Chinese professors who do no understand a word of English. A degree, a N150,000 salary and broken English gives you license to insult a man who, through hard work, has reached the very top of his career? Really. |

ogawisdom:my brother, dont take this as an offence cos it's a truth. you might have more than a degree. i mean you, yourself but you still have a lot of things to learn. you need to study the word "school" and "education". illiteracy is the inability to read or write. also, it is the lack of knowledge in a particular subject; ignorance. so please not having a university degree doesn't make u an illiterate. search for Suli Break's school and education on google to learn more. stay blessed |
