bro, it seem u overload your setup too much. in the first place, u are not supposed to always deplete your battery beyond 60%, thats why its advisable to have at least 2 batteries and also monitor your battery % . as for your heating up and swelling battery, i think thats the resultant effect of aggressive overuse of the battery i.e( always getting fully depleted, and charging from very low % all the time)

do u know that only my laptop can run on my 650va ups for 2 days non stop,
my 15inch tv and bluray player can run on the same 650va ups for more than a day
but anytime i plug the laptop,bluray player and 15inch monitor ,in just 1hr or a little bit above one hrs , a fully charged 200ah battery will start beeping, and this beeping doesnt mean the battery is down ,it simply means its overloaded, because if i shut my laptop down immediately and remove the laptop plug from the ups, the same beeping ups will continue to carry my 15inch and bluray for a full day ,
i have said it so many times on this thread that u dont overload ur inverter, even the big inverters sef 3kva, 5kva etc, if u overloaded them ,same thing will happen to them, always try to manage, everything must not be on at same time, if the battery no die some of u wont stwich off

But I'm using 30A inverter and Bluegate UPS. The charging has always been on the 200AH.

What do you suggest now, do i need to change the battery or reduce the number of the loads on the battery.

650va ups ?
Since the battery is swollen, u will need to replace it.
If u need to add more load ,get a bigger ups , 1.5kva, 1.7ka ,2kva etc dey market and more for more time add extra battery

u shouldnt have, that beeper get work wey e dey do there, u should have blocked the top of the beeper with a black celotape to reduce the beeping sound or look for the new or latest model bluegate at oshodi, if u waka well, u go see am, i saw one in a shop on saturday

I wonder why you had it removed. That's the only way to know if there's an overload or when your battery is low.

Laptop charger power rating ranges from 50w to 90w, let's assume 50w each
for your laptops
50w*4 laptops= 200w
but the power consumption reduces when fully charged.
All being charged at once for an hour is 200w*1h
= 200wh
The battery energy capacity is 200ah*12v= 2400wh
This means the battery can charge all laptops at once for 2400wh/200w = 12h.
With the above 14 hours straight use, you are depleting your battery to 0% during each cycle which guarantees short lifespan as it leads to sulphation, which is the reason your cells became thick and started expanding your battery.
You shouldn't be running on the battery for more than 6hours (50%) before recharging, that way your battery won't be stressed...

Small fan 25w


I don't plug them all at the same time. All I use often is my TV and the decoder and my battery lasts for 24hrs plus. Matter of fact, my battery has never beeped as a result of the battery being low let alone completely drained. In these hard times, you gotta learn how to be a good manager.

i doubt u go see 650va ups used one for 1,500 naira
this is the pic of the latest model
Bluegate-650-VA-Elite-Offline-UPS-BG653, i think this one beeps for 6-13 secs and then stops beeping until the battery is weak but its the latest model and commonly found at computer village brand new...

the second pic is the type of my model, it peeps for 17-18 sec and then stops, but mind u,there are old models that the casing looks exactly like the new model,the only way for u to know if its new or latest model is to connect a battery to the bluegate ups, count as its beeping, if it beeps more than 20 times, then its not the new or latest models...
all theses 650va ups uses the same panel as in ,u can buy the new model panel that beeps for 17-18sec and put in the old model and it works
