This one is normal na. Abi u no want the parrot to play.

What i was even talking about is coming out of the cage and climbing to d top of d cage.

By d way, what's dat stuff inside d cage. D parrot needs all d space it can get o.

And I agree with the person that said the cage is too small. African grey grows bigger than this so u should get a bigger cage.

Does it talk yet?

Outside the cage like this?

African ring neck parrot. It talks, but not as much as the African grey(grey feathers and red rail).
There's also the Indian ring necked parrot, but it's much bigger than yours.

If you want to get it cheaper, go to a welder and tell him what you want.
If you wanna buy an already made cage with toys and accessories, keep at least 30-45k, depending on the size.

Ok I will talk to a welder. I want something that won't disfigure my living room because the parrots are living indoor

African Ringnecks look very similar to their cousins the Indian Ringnecks. In fact, they look so similar that many untrained parrot enthusiasts find it difficult to differentiate between the two. If I see someone that can buy them 80k I will sell

You can buy from this seller in jiji. Though the cage is cheap. Be careful. Don't pay until you get what you're buying.

He still doesn't eat it that much

Re: No Parrot Owners Here? by steppin: 1:49pm On Feb 10, 2017
They don't eat things like that much. Go to the local market and buy fresh palm nuts, ground nuts and other fruits/vegetables in small quantities. They prefer fresh stuff than those "dead wood" cos it's what they ate in the wild.
Secondly, don't expect them to eat too much, they're not broilers. grin

He mostly eats the groundnuts though.

I feed him with fruits and vegetables and groundnuts.

Palm nuts the fresh one used for making red oil?

Yes, the fresh one. In most local markets where they're sold, they usually eat the fresh palm nuts.

Pancho! My African grey.

9 months old.

Doesn't talk yet but whistles a lot.

No one goes near it except me.

Wow. I like the cage you got for your parrot. Was it made for her or you bought it with the parrot.

Beautiful thread. I notice that nobody is talking about the fact that parrots can spread a communicable disease to humans. It's called parrot fever or psittacosis. So please careful with your parrots.

Psittacosis is a type of lung infection caused by the bacteriumChlamydia psittaci. ... The disease is sometimes called 'parrot fever'. Humans most commonly catch the disease from infected birds by inhaling the bacteria from shed feathers, secretions and droppings. Human-to-human transmission is extremely rare.

Best to take your pet for vet check from time to time to make sure he's healthy. Cos if he has it, you'll surely catch it.
