Good one. I hope they get the punishment they deserve for bringing the force to such dishonour.

My greatest surprise in the whole episode was that people stood by only to watch and take pictures and made no attempt to stop the men from doing what they were doing; yet the way these people sound on social media you'd think just a single one of them could take on an entire batallion of the Nigerian army.

Smh.
Omenka why? Why are you such a chronic tribalist undecided Can't you just comment without pointing fingers?

Pple wear camo anyhow in Chile. Do you knw how many pple were robbed on highways using fake army uniforms to stop victims? Do u know that boko haram also uses fake army uniform during operation? Nigeria is not Chile. The public should be banned from using camo. But am not in support of the brutality on the handicapped.

He used their camo. I agree it is wrong. But why not hand him over to appropriate authorities? We all need Orientation Not only the soldiers. Many nairalanders will make mouth here to condemn the act. But give them that same uniform tomorrow. They will flex muscle.

... So if a disable wear an army camo do you think the public would regard him as an army personnel and what harm could he possibly do ... the spirit guiding that law was to discourage abled bodied men and women from using such to perpetrate crime
...so was the physically disabled man defined in this context?
... This is what you get when brawlers are preferred to level headed individuals in the recruitment process
... Now your peers in other nation know how low you can descend
... Kudus to the officers and image makers for not making this another 'Unknown soldier event'

When will you go and assault governor Ayo Fayose who is well known for dressing in full military camo? Or even celebrities like Davido and Wizkid who make public appearances on camo? Why are you animals so stupid?

No it does not end there, the soldiers that brutalized the cripple would likely get promoted. The Army HQ just made a statement to please the public.

Serves them right. Psychopathic bastards. They go about like lunatics abusing human rights like they're the Lords of this galaxy. Contemptible idiots.

These animals were very close to harming my 14-year-old brother, sometime last year, for putting on camo shorts. It took the intervention of elderly men and women, kneeling and prostrating, in a bid to mollify the motherfuckers, massaging their egos, before he could escape their "wrath". We were so scared and helpless. Such pathetic bullies. angry

Now, it's the physically challenged that's being subjected to the fury of these malignant things. Such cruelty and bestiality. They must pay for this.

I hope they learn their lesson and start behaving like humans. Fvcking brutes.

Nice one! Even in the USA, people are proud to be associated with the army. Wearing their camouflage is a solidarity to the Army.

Nigeria Army kicks against civilian wearing the camouflage in order reduce extortion and assault in camouflage. You know, Nigerians like to abuse and take undue advantage of things. Before now, soldiers would be killed and their camo sold or used to extort people and motorists. Some bloody civilian/police would even used camouflage to impersonate the army.

I am proud of the Nigerian Army for arresting those soldiers involved in assaulting the physically challenged civilian. The best call would have been to hand him over to authorities to be sanctioned rather than manhandling him on the street.

Sorry, that cripple pays for the Camo the soldiers use from his tax, in other countries people wear Camo as a way of showing solidarity to their military, the difference is that every military unit has an insignia given only to members.

Its said that this guy has always dreamt of joining the Army but for his condition he couldnt and a relation serving in the Army gave him his old Camo which he proudly adorns in his wheel chair which the soldiers threw away in the video. So what is wrong with that, an Army officer will never behave in that manner it is the illiterate recruits who disgrace the Army.

I don't see anything wrong in wearing the camo, if not in Nigeria. In the UK, a lot of souvenir shops are even selling them publicly. And for a disabled person to be treated in such manner shows how inhumane those army officers were. Very senseless too indeed. At least, the worst would have been to order him to take it off.
why must he take it off? Pls wats so special about camon. Nigerian army rank and files need total reorientation. He loves the army. He appreciates the army. He is in solidarity with the army. They sup to encourage him. There is no where in the constitution saying civilians should north put on camou. Let me tell u, go to Liberia, go to south Africa here in Africa u will see ppl putting on the camou anyhow they like. Their Army proud of them. Is it not d same training dia counterparts in US, Britain, Russia, Germany and rest did? Why are they not harassing civilians putting on camou over dere? Mennh are we advancing or wat
