Its very annoying to know that a man from that state was president for "5 years" yet they didnt build an "airport, instead they are launching an "heliport' in 2017 under a new administration...... angry angry

Bayelsa doesn't need airport yet. What is the air traffic of Bayelsa dwellers like? How many of the barely 2 million people living in Bayelsa fly in a month? Moreover, Portharcourt airport is not far from Bayelsa.. Even Anambra doesn't have an airport.

I'm not partisan, and I don't think either APC or PDP is holy as I believe there is no politician in Nigeria worthy of being trusted. However, I do really want Nigeria to be great socio-economically. I know that Muhammadu Buhari is our president, and I'm aware of recent events as regards his health. I wish him quick recovery and pray that he goes back home in good health. From my observation, I think when Buhari goes back home no matter what his health condition is, he should give more freedom to Osinbanjo, and allow him to partake more in the state affairs while he (Buhari) stays at the background. The reason is because Nigeria present democracy needs more flexibility and masses engagement, and Buhari has shown us that he is shortcoming in those qualities.
I wish Nigeria all the best
Recession is in your comment!
Stop being economical with the truth!
Even though I dont like APC, yet, I believe that Osinbajo would be a far better option than buhari. Osinbajo is educated and learned, he is healthy and has human brain.

This is the most sensitive and informative post on this thread. Many states striving to build airports are only looking for ways to loot.

A survey carried out on all of our airports shows that many are not needed. For instance, Ekiti, Jigawa, Bayelsa, Kebbi and Gombe don't need airports. Their traffic is less than a motor park traffic.

U re a good analyst, u hit the nail on the head.
Obasanjo engaged in outstanding in Economic reforms, though not a good democrat.
Yar'adua and Goodluck were the best democratic president we ever had, though Goodluck was lenient with his corrupt cabinets, but he managed to embrace the good legacies of his predecessors Obj and Yar'adua with little refurbishing, that made him to be successful economically and democratically. Though some desperate politicians used BH to destabilize his govt and made it appear like he was incompetent and clueless in their bid to take back their birthright but unfortunately to them, the BH became radicalised and gone out of their control as they resort to attacking everybody, whether Moslems or Christians.
But Buhari discarded the good economic blueprints of PDP bc of his sentiments and neither replaced it with a better one.
In times of democracy, he lacked the political and self will to embrace the organs of democracy like: Rule of law, freedom of speech, freedom of association, freedom of religion.
He tried in Security, though hv not fully anihiliated BH as they still attacks military outfits.
He would hv tried in fighting corruption, but he z like a teacher that beats and corrects children of other parents but refuses to punish his own very child when both commits an offence.
...Wish Him quick recovery.

But every state cannot build airport now. It doesn't make economic sense . Even d ones there for long were they maintained ? How many people can afford air travel among states in Nigeria ? Even Arik that's d biggest local airline is about folding up. so building an airport in Bayelsa now will be a total waste of resources. Good motorable interstate roads and rail first for the masses. Shallom, bro.
