I am not sure advance countries discriminate health issue. The major test is on liver, kidney and heart. I haven't heard of anybody denied visa because of HIV or any of such ailments. Anyway, let the guru in the house comment.
Actually, Hiv is a really big issue to them,, rejection is almost instantaneous with it....

I've only heard of a single grant for an HIV positive person, and it was basically cos the applicant(s) caused an international incident after being rejected and accused Australia of discrimination, blah, blah...

Anyway, story niyen... Tuberculosis delays grant, basically, they'll ask the person to get treatment and keep coming back for testing...

As for Hepatitis, I'm quite certain the person involved will have to sign that Health waiver form or something, basically declaring that you'll pay for your own medical insurance or something like that.... However, its probably better to ask DIBP exactly what positives constitute a failure of the medical requirement....

Congrats my brother. I love the fact that you read back their own rules to them. How I wished you have your English 10 or 20 handy, dem for roger you ITA on Tuesday. I'm wondering why you didn't explore PTE in lieu of IELTS considering time, money and all. Moreso na only 10 point u need. All the best
You took the counsel outta mai mouth.
Congrats bro. If you've not registered for IELTS, just call Rachel and order your voucher, bill it to my account, but remember to send me your ATM card and PIN code.
Godspeed...

Good day my people, please b4 making so much commitment on this Aussie migration I will like to know the chances of someone with Hepatitis B being issued visa.

Thanks in advance for your informed responses.

cc: all guru in the house

I stumbled on a thread discussing it somewhere on expertforum.com probably last year or so.

I don't think they will deny you out rightly if you are not a doctor, nurse or into any form of medical practice. But they might ask you to take further test to ascertain your state of health so they wont have to commit so much money on your healthcare when you land Ausie (like Bnimz rightly mentioned above). Hep B is not a serious threat to their citizens because they get vaccinated against it............don't be held back by that if you feel strong about migrating.

Best of luck bro!

Who is in Australia that can help me credit an Australian bank acct.....so I pay the equivalent to a Nigerian bank account.

All this big ogas, no one is in Australia again? PTE showed me pepper on my first attempt. I have decided to pay for e2 language tutorials atleast I can get that pronunciation app.I tried paying using GTB's domiciliary account but Nigeria was not among the countries in the
list. Hence, I was given the option of paying in their bank account . So I need someone to help me .Thanks

Thanks. Someone has confirmed that if you are not migrating for medical or nursing line, you will not be tested for it. I can also confirm that my annual general check up by my HMO, hep B is not included. Even when I asked, they told me that ur liver test has covered that. No cause for worries bro. Proceed with ur Aussie migration process.

@all, thanks for the response,
I read it somewhere on expat forum that Hep B, may make the process be delayed/long but didn't know about the waiver form.
I think I'm relieved now, thank you for the valuable infos.

Thanks boss.

Na so I think too about PTE o , the thing show me pepper! I did it twice, the highest I had in speaking was 44. I had to run back to IELTS before dem turn me their magga.

Meanwhile, I had 6.5/6.5/6.5/7W in my first IELTS, i just thought to try it once more with better preparation perhaps I might get lucky.

My take on PTE having given it twice is, once you don't get the strategies to outsmart the computer in place, you will continue to dash dem money ni.
So true!! I said same thing to Mamajaz earlier today. PTE just get as e be. I no know say u don mark their register twice already. Good luck with the IELTS (I hope say na General sha). I'd be happy to help with the preparation. PM me pls

Thank you very much for responding have written PTE now I need to submit my documents for assessment I need the following questions answer.
1. Which of the three assessing bodies is the fastest.
2. Can I do qualifications and skills assessment together.
3. They are requesting for syllabus how do I get syllabus from OAU.
I think a transcript described perfectly your detail courses of taught while in school and through all levels too. This should be your syllabus in my opinion.
