You said your sister is a graduate of economics right? It then begs the question WHICH KIND MUSHROOM ECONOMICS SHE GO STUDY FOR SCHOOL? Economists have been known to be be prudent managers of resources and your sister to have graduated with 2.1 kinda lives one in perpetual trembulation.
I won't want to start schooling her on the basic concept of economics but I would still do for the sake of others here who might want to pick a thing or two from this piece.
Have told us that your sister read accounting that would have been different, cause I know accountants to view cost as the original cost of acquiring something. But to the economist, cost is viewed as the alternative forgone i.e. before a purchase is made they will have to put into consideration other items that same money would have purchased.
But due to the limited no of resources at our disposal we have to make a choice after considering our scale of preference.
Maybe she has become accustomed to spending big and thinks 1.5m can't set her up which in itself sounds ridiculous. In times like this we should learn to adopt to situations and cut cost as no situation is permanent which can be seen in Nigeria where the government is complaining of being cash strapped.

There is what we call mid life crises in the life of men and your sis husband is going through that at the moment and I'm also going through mine but trust me,only a man with the holy spirit and love for christ and lots of self control can maintain a good moral standing at that stage in life.

The mid life crises of a lady starts at 20 to 35 and that of man is a bit longer from age 30 to 50. At this stage most people will feel like exploring their sexuality to the max but tend to calm down latter in life and turn out to be very faithful to our partners.
