So how did that line item: FMOW99934089, got into the budget without Fashola's approval? Didn't he read the budget before signing off on it?

why should finance come to defend housing's budget? You go to fiance and ask what is this item you inserted in my budget, then I YOU because it is your budget will defend it in the senate not finance.

It is quite disturbing to hear that Buhari 's SUPER MINISTER is being linked with corruption. That is not a good report from a man like former governor Fashola.

His dream of contesting the presidency in the near future is getting bleaker by the day given all this story of corruption that is being linked to minister Fashola.

You will recall that Fashola was accussed of budgeting millions of Nigerian naira for a mere government website.

Buhari that spend close to 8 months choosing minister now knows that it is difficult getting saints as it is like looking for a NEEDLE IN A HAYSACK!

Fashola's budget I don't get, does Fashola as an individual have a budget in Nigeria? Must you drag his name into it to prove your weightless point. This is a ministry for goodness sake, budget goes through several different commitees including legislative bodies. Get your facts right people before posting sensational stories that frizzle out after few hours due to lack of substance.

Bro, please understand how this stuffs works before crucifying Fashola here. The 2bn wasn't inserted by his ministry but the finance ministry so why bring Fashola and corruption into same sentence?

The line item was inserted by the Min of Finance after Fash has submitted the budget to them. He doesnt know much about it.

Doesn't Fashola know what is in his budget, how do you present a budget you know nothing about? Does that make sense to you? Stop hiding behind budgeting process that you obviously know nothing about.

When a ministry prepares it's budget, it is vetted by the Minister and then passed on to the Budget / Finance office who now prepares the final document which the president presents to NASS.

After the budget proposal has left a ministry, it can be tampered with by the Budget or Finance ministry. That's what happened in this case sir.

If fashola was still a governor he would not be saying yes sir to senators.
