DW is 8weeks gone and this MS thingy won't allow her. She gets tired at every single tin and for days now she has lost appetite to eat anything. Biko, is this how e dey do FTM? Pls what can she be eating. I've suggested heaven and earth and all is NO. She only takes milk+Malt and biscuit.

Milk, malt and biscuit sound nourishing enough. I know exactly how she feels. At 8 weeks I felt awful all day long. I am a ftm too. Make sure she takes her prenatal vitamins.

I still believe there is no difference between you staying alone (especially with good neighbors who can easily help you out in case of anything) and you staying with some in-laws who care less about you and your condition. What is the essence of staying with them in the first place If not to cure loneliness and help you if you suddenly fall into labour. But now the reverse is the case with them. How are you sure if you fall in labour there, they will help you out on time. Am not sure they really want you in their house. Else they should have been more accommodating and caring. My thoughts tho...... I may be wrong.

All in all, make yourself happy and don't stress yourself. It is well with you

how do you deal with an In-law who hardly talks or feel concern about your plight.

I just moved in with my husband's dad's brother wife (fian! I hope you gerrit) Abi na Hubby's cousin wife I don't know . All I know is that she is a wife and my husby is from her husband's side .

I have visited her twice and the more I try to get close to her the harder it seems

we arrived yesterday, I greeted her normally and I had to be the one looking for other homely greetings for this woman because she just answers in a simple way .

This morning, I greeted her and thanked her for her hospitality , she answered simply nooni . no question about my bulging stomach .

I went to ask her if she knew about any general hospital around she answered no that she thinks its sha in that area ( don't mind my language)

what about a good private hospital ? " its all around this vicinity "

OK when sister Xyz ( her daughter) maybe she Will take me to the generall hospital " it's far you will take bike " that was like showing her disapproval

then she said there were other neighbours of hers that her nurses .
she wouldn't tell me where to get them or their names or even lift a pin for me on this matter .

Babe cut the lady some slack! We aren't all the same and perhaps she is being careful so as not to offend you. You know we women are complex! If she asks about your tummy and is suggesting this or that you( speaking metaphorically here) may term it as prying or trying to control you for eg!

She may have her own issues she's dealing with at the moment and as Blunt as this may sound she may not be happy to have you in her house. She too may like her privacy.

My suggestions are that you go with the flow. Put some random snacks biscuits, cereals etc in your room for when the general household isn't eating like they may not cook lunch daily for eg.

Source your hospitals and medical needs ( for lack of a better expression) yourself. Use google and this forum to enquired about hospitals for eg. Don't expect her or her children to drive you anywhere if they offer fine if not enter bus or taxi.

Minimize your expectations and try to blend in as much as you can. Make polite conversation about general subjects and help out where you can. Join her when she's making meals and ask what you can do to assist generally.

Welldone teamie ,edd is 2nd Oct .hmm it may even be sept but let me be with my Oct teamies for now.

Erhmmmm....... It's difficult for me to calculate my EDD using LMP why...... As some point in December, I knew I was pregnant but then something like my period came but unlike the normal period, this was very light pink and little flow which lasted not fully 2days. Since I wasn't sure if it's my period or implantation bleeding, I recorded it on my period app as Dec flow. Now when I tested positive in January the app gave me October 2nd as EDD..... But my 1st personal scan gave September 28th as EDD (though am waiting to take the real hospital antenatal scan maybe next week when I commence antenatal to clear my doubt on which month to follow)

Mamas in your own opinion which team do you think I belong? Although I wish it's september tho

Present cappo, ms is real, d worst is i cant explain hw i feel i cant wait for dis phase to b over. I never knew i would do this and at the say time shy about it, but there's no where to turn to after God and DH must not know i'm doing this.

I desperately in need of help, I am a #TeamApril member and a FTM. All my source of income looks opened (let me not say otherwise). I invested my money in all this online ponzi scheme and it has not yielded anything (nobody should blame me ooo, didnt know it will be like that) and yet to paid for february (though the salary, cannot cover all the expenses on ground, incurred alot of loans) and out of work as my boss said he does have enough money to continually pay my salary.

I just got tied to DH last weekend and so many expensesv are before us, accomodation and buying of necessary items for the new house, baby clothings, registration and delivery fee etc, everything just look so overwhelming but i try as much as possible not to think too much about it but its not easy

I'm soliciting for help from fellow mamas, who can help me baby boy clothings, hospital list items (though i am yet to register, but would do so tomorrow at government hospital) and necessary household items.

Some of us aint feeling the baby kicks yet. I think there is no cause for alarm cos no 2 pregnancy is the same.

With my first, i felt the kick at around 18 weeks but i did not feel the kick at all till delivery for my second. At around 18 weeks now, i am yet to feel kick for this journey too.

Dear, eat more of vegetable. Ugwu and Shoko oko (Local green leave or so. not sure of the name) is a good source of blood.Mostly grinded and drink without cooking.
You can also grind beetroot, carrot and apple and be drinking as juice. it's also good too.

lots of ugwu, garden egg leaf, take ur small red tablets religiously as prescribed, take lots of fruits and vegetables. U'll b alright

In d labour ward I took a warm bath and was given a bed. Thru d nyt I slept fitfully with contractions waking me up at intervals. My bp and baby's heart beat was checked regularly. By 5 am a resident doctor came to check and I was still 4cm chai! She broke my water and set up drip. By 6am my consultant came in and scolded d resident DAT she shld have introduced Oxytocin when d drip was set up. My bp went up wen I heard oxytocin cos I had read on this thread abt it. It was inserted in d drip and by 8am I had had enuf. I climbed down from d bed I told d nurses to remove it that I wanted CS. I was told firmly to climb back I no gree oh at this point I was stack naked in front student doctors and nurses. At a point the drip came off my hand blood everywhere d nurses got angry at this point and said it seems I wanted to be in labor all day. Na so I begin speak English" I am not a difficult person but I know my capability I can't take this anymore the pain is too much".nurse just yimu.some of d students began to plead with me to cooperate but I just cldnt. Lying down was like my waist was being sawn in two by 9:10 am I was forced to lie down and I started screaming" oxytocin ooohh!! Its demonic oohh! Nurse ehhh pls remove it I won't be difficult I will lie down. Then suddenly I had this urge to poo. I told her I feel like pooling she didn't believe me at first but cos three hrs ago I was just 4cm. But another midwife asked her to check me behold I was fully dilated. Everyone began to hurriedly move my things to d delivery room and with three pushes and not a single tear my 3kg baby came out into this world!
I am eternally grateful to God for the privilege of being a mother despite d challenges of pregnancy I will gladly do it again to see my sons face.
Thanks to mamas who share their experiences on this thread I was greatly encouraged by them
