Anyway before some people take me into the gutter with them. I've said my piece. As a Christian your number 1 priority is God. Anything that will displease your God, don't do it. Being a gynecologist is between you and God. Ask him Anyone that quote me henceforth on this thread is on his own. 1 Like |

Wilgrea7:There is no need sounding holier than thou. We have a body that can be weak at any time. A Christian must watch the kind of profession he/she veers into if eternity means anything to him/her. Thanks. |

Pidgin2:you and your thoughts are an evidence as to how dangerous the world would be if everyone was religious... think abt it, if every one thinks the way u do and there are women who have issues relating to their vagina...we would all prefer to watch them die from it than spend years in school learning to become a gyno, why? because you think it would be against our religion....human nature and life is in everyway greater than any religion of this world, I don't think you knew that, but never forget that now. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Wilgrea7:We are talking about avoiding lust and the consequences, you are more concerned with what unbelivers think. Is it unbelievers that will enjoy heaven for you or God forbid suffer eternally in hell on your behalf? Please, stop the sentiments. You are judging those who say it not safe for a genuinely born again Christian to engage in a profession that clearly has an appearance of evil as being hypocritical and those who say it doesn't matter as the genuine ones! How sincere you are indeed! |

luvmijeje: I am not a doc but an engineer by profession. The doc you spoke about would have waited for his colleagues so something was wrong. He may be guilty or may just be an amateur. Temptation is not sin,Christ was tempted but he did not sin instead he rebuked the devil Matt 4. Every profession come with temptations. The power of the Holy Spirit is there to strength us to resist temptation. Avoiding occasions of sin does not mean not living. Should Christians not be doctors, lecturers, bankers, politicians, business men, lawyers, judges,Engineers, nurses, scientists, actors, musicians, even pastors because we want to avoid occasions of sin? Even in your room, without seeing any naked male/female you can have sexu..al urge. This urge is inbuilt in man,it was our Creator who put it there. Having it is not a sin, where sin comes is dwelling on it(not resisting) and carrying out the fornication. As we grow spiritually and in maturity we have more power to resist even the most beautiful body. That's another reason why God kept the beautiful institution of marriage so that we will not be consumed by passion. 6 Likes |

Sinkills: contrary to what you may think, you guys are actually the one with the holier than thou attitude.... you talk as if there is a profession where one is not tempted with sin.. someone gave the instance of working in a bank... won't you be tempted to steal money? temptations will come.. someone's inability to resist it doesn't mean everyone will fall for it.. its people who are carnally minded that carry these things on their head a lot.. someone who has no urge for money won't think of stealing.. so also the case of a gynecologist.. except the doctor is a quack who never went to school or a serious perv, every normal doctor who has studied the human body won't be moved by seeing people naked.. cuz all they see is meat and bone.. nothing more... nothing less 1 Like |

yemimajid:There are females gynos sir. They need to be invited and if they are in short supply, more need to be trained. A Christian should not put himself in a difficult situation except there are no alternatives. Thanks. 2 Likes |

Wilgrea7:I beg to disagree sir. Training or education does not remove the adamic nature. Only sanctification through Christ's atoning blood can avail after salvation. Even after sanctification, one needs to abstain from all appearances of evil (1st Thessalonians 5:22). Granted, every profession has its peculiar temptation but seeing the unclothedness and touching the sensitive organs of the opposite sex predisposed one to the sin of adultery (even when one did not commit the actual act (Matthew 5:27-30). That is the basic difference. Thank you. 1 Like |

Amhappy:You're also worth breaking my promises over. Agreed that everyone will faces temptation at one point or the other. James 2:26 says 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Faith is believing in God but working out your faith is doing things that pleases God. As human being we should know our limit. We should know when to flee from sin. I'll give you an instance, you know you always have the urge of taking things that's not of yours. As a born again Christian, You belong to a cooperative society and they are looking for someone to be holding the money, will you raise up your hands? Working out your faiths is you not raising up your hands. As I said, I'm only addressing this to the people who know their God. |

Sinkills: you're not getting my point... you claim its only in Christ that adamic nature bla bla is defeated... i gave you the instance of Buddhists and hinduists.. that instance was not talking about gynecology alone but all professions in general.. i listed those two religions because they emphasize and seemingly practice more spirituality than many christians.. meaning they value the spiritual and to them(at least the whole hearted adherants of the religion), human body is just dust.. nothing more.. that's why you hardly hear of Buddhist monks who are pervs... in fact, I've not heard of any.. but Christianity and Islam have their share of sexual crimes... even more than eastern religions.. and the no true Scotsman fallacy would be introduced when a Christian falls.. coming to gynecology, doctors, regardless of their religion whatsoever understand the human body to be just complex, intelligently designed meat regardless of the part of the body in question.. a doctor would feel no different touching the human eye than touching the reproductive organs... because that's what they are... reproductive organs.. its only perverted minds that lust over every “meat" they see... also, people who are spiritually minded would only see the human body as dust.. bunch of cells.. tissues.. meat.. they don't lust over stuffs like that... their main focus is on the “spirit"(I'm talking in a general sense) 2 Likes |

luvmijeje: Yeh dear I understand what you mean. No all are strong enough to resist. Then in that case it's an individual thing. I for one knows my weakness and will flee from anything that will challenge me on that level. 1 Like |

Sinkills:Sinners judging sinners for sinning differently, you despise tribal discrimination but here you are proudly campaigning for employment discrimination. Elimination of this kind of discrimination helps to improve general and economic well being of the society...its only scary that you would sacrifice that for any kind of religion.. 1 Like |

You know my motive is not discriminatory but to ensure male Christians are not put at risk of being exposed to avoidable temptations.
