To add to what Kog45 is saying.

For example, where Dele is concerned he had a very tough start his alcoholic mother incapicated resulting in him being taken into care.

His Father had remarried and swaned off to USA at the time he needed him most. Adopted by white family that showed him love encouraged and nurtured him.

Is that what you call having it easy because you were born in England. He wil not tell you the racial taunts and discrimination he had to go through to make it.

Or because Ademola was born in Peckham that gave him an advantage, no way. He was playing Sunday football three years ago.

Or you think Seyi Ojo became successful because he too was brought up in England. Or Ibe who was released by Charlton at 12 and ended up in lowly Wycombe Wanderers before Liverpool bought him for £1 millions 3 years later. All because they were born in the UK.

I could give another hundred examples to prove that being born in the UK has Absolutely nothing to do with it.
Leave Dele out. He never considered Nigeria as an option and he now plays for the 3 Lions.

Tell me Lookman, Seyi Ojo and Jodon Ibe are better than Ihenacho, Success and Simon.

Assist Master Sarenren-Bazee Will Help Iheanacho & Co Score More Goals For Nigeria

https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/image-3.jpg

The Super Eagles of Nigeria latest invitee Joel Noah Sarenren Bazee has the talent to make the attack line of the Nigerian team better than it is right now.

Coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has not been too impressed with the firing line of his team , a situation that has seen him try various combinations in attack in the three games he has handled Nigeria.

Rohr convinced Sarenren Bazee to commit his future to Nigeria ahead of Germany because he believe that the 20 year old will help address some of the pressing issues of the Super Eagles in attack.

Bazee’s main attributes is speed but he is also blessed with the ability to thread passes to the point man of his team, as illustrated in his performance so far for Hannover 96 in the Bundesliga 2.

He has six assists from just 12 games this season, making him third in the list of players with highest number of assist in the league this season. The likes of Manchester City Kelechi Iheanacho and other Super Eagles forwards will no doubt benefit from his tailor-like passes in their quest to score more goals for Nigeria.

FC Porto Awaziem Reveals Travel Plans To London For Nigeria Friendly Games

https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/image-10.jpg

FC Porto Nigerian defender Chidozie Awaziem has exclusively revealed to Owngoalnigeria.com the date he intends to arrival the camp of the Super Eagles.

Awaziem is in the list of 25 players called up by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for the upcoming friendly games in London against Senegal and Burkina Faso.

In a chat with Owngoalnigeria.com, the 20 year old central defender says he plans to team up with the Super Eagles, a day after FC Porto’s B team second division game against Vizela.” I will play our league game against Vizela on Saturday afternoon, all things being equal I should be in the Super Eagles camp on Sunday evening”, Awaziem told Owngoalnigeria.com.

” I am not going to London to make up the numbers, my plan is to make an impression on the coaches and get to play in one of the games, I honestly believe I have a future with the team.

” The opportunity to train and fight for a shirt with the likes of Leon Balogun, Uche Agbo and William Troost-Ekong is one that will bring out the best in me, but I must admit am also going to the camp to learn from them as well. They are more experienced than me at the moment”.

Comparing champions league appearances in 2 different eras is unfair. The reason Ronaldo didn't score in the in the champions league in his first 4 seasons in Europe, despite playing for Barcelona and Inter Milan and winning the FIFA World player of year twice was because his teams never appeared in the competition. Champions league was a tournament for just the league champions p. With the dominance of PSG in Ligue 1, Monaco and Mbappe would have missed out of the champions league.

By the way, the fact that Ajax couldn't beat PSV in both legs of their 1995/1996 league fixtures shoud let you know the quality of the dutch league then. Ronaldo was even the top goalscorer at 18 yrs.

The dutch league was no more a one team league than Ligue 1 is now, with PSG's dominance. Nigeria at some point had a player in almost all the teams in that league due to Westerhof connection, i suppose (Iroha, Rufai, Babangida, Finidi, Obiku, Kanu etc)
Let's not kid our selves. The Dutch league then was all about Ajax, Ajax and Ajax. Its not a coincidence they won the league 5X back to back between 1993-1998. They steam rolled teams on their way to the title, at some point they went 52 matches unbeaten in the league.
PSV had a decent team but they had nothing on Ajax. The less said about the rest of the league the better.
You think Ronaldo at 18 would have scored 42 goals in 46 games in a stronger league like Seria A of 1995/96?

Since Ronaldo at 19 scored 47 goals in 49 games for Barcelona in 1996/1997, and was also the world's best player in the season you mentioned above, I am tempted to believe that to be honest

The Spanish league was not that tough either. The toughest league in Europe at the time was Seria A and Ronaldo scored just 49 times in 5years at Inter Milan.

please note that the only season that mattered (with regard to an assessment of his goal scoring abilities) with his time at Inter Milan was 97/98, as injury blighted his career afterwards, that he was almost a doubt for the WC2002 itself

Reports in Spain suggest Deniz Aytekin may be removed from Champions League duty after making controversial calls in a 6-1 thriller at Camp Nou

The man at the centre of Barcelona’s remarkable comeback against Paris Saint-Germain, Deniz Aytekin, may have taken charge of his last Champions League game this season, according to Marca.

The German referee made a controversial late call at Camp Nou on Wednesday which allowed Barca to complete their stunning 6-1 fightback.

http://m.goal.com/s/en-us/news/55/main/2017/03/11/33518362/barcelona-vs-psg-referee-facing-uefa-demotion?utm_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fm%3Fq%3Dreferee%2Bmarca%2Bbarcelona%2Bpsg

As for me, those two penalty calls were too wrong and I do not blame anyone who accuses the referee of premeditated bias.
cry me a river. Who exactly wrote that report? It was written by Marca, a Madrid based newspaper, it was rubbished officially by UEFA. The first penalty was a clear penalty, how can you stay on the ground and be interfering with a goalscoring oppurtunity? The first one isn't even what people are complaining about.

The second penalty was a soft penalty no doubt but there was contact, look closely at the play again, the defender has his hands on Suarez who made the most of it I agree, and wasn't looking at the ball which is illegal contact though not enough for a penalty of that magnitude but based on the ref's position nobody can blame him. I maintain, there was absolutely no bias in that game

because their profiles are more European than African.

If you Google any of those guys, first info you will see is "French footballer"....not Algerian, Cameroonian or whatever. They are French first, any other affiliations will come from further investigation

That is how i Googled Fosu-Mensah, expecting to see Ghana, only for me to find "Dutch footballer"...and tomorrow, you people will tag him African because of name.

I repeat, it takes more than a name to be African.

Jordan Ibe is not interested in playing for Nigeria, his mother remarried a non - Nigerian and he has an almost zero Nigerian input in his upbringing.

Seyi Ojo is a lucky guy, effective but not technically proficient enough in my opinion.

However, Isaac Success and Simon Moses would struggle to get into top 6 premiership teams U23 development squad.

The above two players are not in any shape or form better than a supposedly much older Sone Aluko.

KC is a great exciting player with undoubted quality however as an out and out No. 9. I am not convinced.

On the other hand Anichebe is undoubtedly a powerful striker a true No. 9, if he wasn't so injury prone he would be number 1, with Kelechi playing off him.

Actually I rate Onyedinma of Millwall higher than Ademola. Sometimes you need some steel in the midfield and someone that I have been looking at with promise is Chuks Aneke one time promising Arsenal midfielder.

There has been talk about Chuba Akpom for me has been unable to make the step up from youth football to senior football, for me he is not ready.

However the trio of Solanke, Tega and Ike at Chelsea are looking dangerous. There are a multitude of others like Ovie at Liverpool and Onomah at Tottenham, but I am not totally convinced yet.
