The bolded is validation that WIC is NOT for visitors. they will be recording the person hosting you as the head of the household most likely and will be including you in the count of number in the family. These are all tactics to cheat/beat the system. Please listen to the advice of all the other mums. Anything you need to fill a form for that is not free on a table that you just pick and go is funded by some sort of agency (government or otherwise) and is most likely for legal aliens, USC and other immigrants that are not fortunate to be able to afford it.
Take time off to rest, God is your strength. Congratulations on the babies!!!!
Exactly! They asked her for the income details of her host because they're assuming that the host is the Head of Household and she and her twins (probably and her husband as well) are the host's defendants. WIC and Medicaid has a standard practice about how they calculate eligibility. For a family of four (or five if husband is included), the eligible gross in one is $44, 955 or $52, 614. If her host makes these figures or less they will qualify for Medicaid. WIC most times comes as a derivative of Medicaid, cos they use the same eligibility guidelines. If they qualify for Medicaid, they qualify for WIC.

Most of us that gave birth in US also had to deal with this very issue of WIC. Thats because those at the hospital in US find it hard to believe that it will affect you in any way,so they keep pushing and cajoling you to get it thinking they are helping you. Sister, pls pick race cos you are the one that will suffer it in the end.

On the contrary though, its possible we here are just being insecure...if you try it and it does not affect you negatively in future, pls do well to share on this thread to keep the ministry moving.

Congrats!
It will affect her 110%,because i watched US embassy officials question and answers on Facebook Live weeks ago, they stated it categorically that birthing in the US is not illegal but they need proofs that u can afford the expenses & foot your Bills yourself without soliciting for help from any US health care programmes funded by US tax payers. They also said that once u try such,It will definitely affect your future Visa Renewals. So the best for her is to negotiate with them for some discounts.

I never said she won the appeal sis, I said it was resolved because the sent her a mail to reapply for a visa. im only asking if she should apply with her kids or with her hubby and kids.
She should reapply alone and clear herself first before joining other members of her family,.because she still has a case pending and now she comes with the whole family, thats a red flag,.the VO will think that they all wants to run away, and likely refuse them Visa.So let her apply alone first, and if successful, then her family can follow up.

Congrats on your twin babies. God bless and keep them.

As your mind is already made up I don't understand what you want from us here. People with experience have chipped in.

Travelling at 36 weeks is a no no with multiple pregnancy. No doctor in this world should declare that fit to fly. God forbid if you were turned back at the POE which grammar will you speak? As your doc hubby was on board meaning what? He will be able to deliver you abi? It is as easy as that?

You did not sign the contract with Ben taub for the cheaper self pay rate before delivery hence you lost that window of opportunity.

Why are you arguing WIC and Medicaid with nairaland members? Save the argument for the Visa officer during renewal.

You simply did not plan well for this journey and it was God that took control if not it would not have been a funny situation.

Congrata once again.

Ya head is too dey dia!!! kiss kiss

P.S....

How on earth anyone will read what my babe just succinctly & "commonsensically" highlighted here & claim s/he is being unfairly marked by a "bully" will never cease to be a source of amusement mixed with exasperation to me...

People just nor dey like truth, dem prefer to be patted on the back with "positive poo" even if pain & disappointment lay round the corner..

I considered that too but from my understanding these guys will tell you you can apply, but they know they are not going to give you due to the ban.

Methinks they got a standard response...

Babe, definitely, the more the applicants, the greater the revenue in visa fees, & they also know the psyche of dem customers so they allow them throw some of their "loose change" at them...

55k (3 or 4x in some cases) isn't much to some people so they can afford to play nairabet with it.. grin

Dr D aka Dr D Z. I'm not sure we're allowed to quote their full names here. Google obgyns affiliated to Oakbend. That's how I was able to deduce his full name from his initials used on this forum. I'm a June mum. I paid him via form A last week. He will only release acceptance letter and his bank details after you've paid a non refundable deposit of $200. He will however deduct that from your full bill. I had to get someone in the US to make that deposit for me then i made the balance payment via form A. You can pm me if you need more details.

My apologies for removing your last post to YETI28.

If anybody wants to apply for financial aid the question should be directed to the embassy during visa application.
