You only need to backup your data and after updating, your restore your backed up data. Make sure you battery is charged above 60%.

but wait for 8.2. The version released last week had a serious bug. It locked users out and they had to do a factory reset. They lost all their data. So Wait for reviews before venturing in this journey grin

Nope,just one appeal,but sum of use were unlucky to do alipay verification again,that doesnt take more than 3 days,u wud need utility bill same as your shippibg adress,govt issued id card and front and back of your atm i think,e nor hard at all
which one is utility bill,i thought its account statement. pls m asking all these to facilitate easy appeal when i get my mastercard on thursday. i just pray i can get everything ready before the anniversary period runs out.

You can update to 8.1.3.0 . Connect to a WiFi and check for update or manually download from miui.com. If you are manually downloading, it should be the stable
rom. Rename the file to 'update.zip' and put it in the phone memory (don't put it in any folder). Go to system update, click on the three dots at top right and select 'choose update package'. Then navigate to where you saved the file

If you don't have enough data, wait for 8.2. Probably in two weeks time.

Make sure you download the right rom for your device i.e special edition ( if that's what you have)
