Remember the late Cynthia Osokogu, whose body was discovered in a Lagos morgue a month after she was murdered by her Facebook acquaintances?

Her killers have been reportedly sentenced to death Today, 23rd of March 2016 by a Lagos State High Court in Igbosere.

Okwumo Nwabufo and Olisaeloka Ezike were charged with the murder of the beautiful lady who was a postgraduate student of Nasarawa State University.

Justice Olabisi Akinlade found Nwabufo and Ezike guilty as charged by the state.

The judge held that the circumstantial evidence brought by the state in proof of the six counts of conspiracy, murder and stealing against the accused persons were cogent, complete, unequivocal and compelling.

Recalled that Cynthia’s body was found in the morgue days after she was murdered by the convicts on July 22, 2012, at Cosmilla Hotel, Lake View Estate, Festac Town, Lagos.

It was reported then that she was picked from the airport in Lagos, lodged to a hotel in Festac and at the hotel, they tied her up, robbed and strangled her to death.



After committing the evil act, the guys left the hotel and deleted her from their Facebook friend list to remove any trace of their connection.

With the help of the CCTV, the suspects were later caught after one of the culprits accidentally answered Cynthia’s phone and the call was traced to Festac.

She met one of the guys on Facebook. They became friends and went on to be business associates. The so-called friend invited her to Lagos so that they could talk business and also give her a treat.

Apparently, he had other ideas. He invited the other guy, after concluding to rob and rape her. They got an off the counter date rape drug, laced her juice with it and watched her pass out. Unfortunately, she passed out. They took their turns on her while she was tied to a chair. She died due to overdose and exhaustion.

The unfortunate guys robbed her and escaped. They were apprehended while trying to sell her phone.

We d youths need to rise up and sell dis country to a more developed country for proper mgt. I suggest Switzerland. Let dem annex Nigeria.

Yeah..our judiciary are too slow.. though time for the prosecutor and defence to be well prepared.,otherwise it would be throw out through the court window.. Whatever, those guy,as this moment they do not deserved to live the next minute to live on earth
