Tradition...
'did he use a condom?' Florence asked.

'the bastard did. He didnt even cum in it not to talk of cumming and the condom bursting. He was just too smart for his own good' Mia sighed.

'maybe he knew 'bout your plans' Leila chipped in.

'oh please dont be stupid! How would he have known about the plans? Who would have told him?' Mia eyed her angrily. She never liked Leila, Florence's cousin from yonder. The girl was just too loudmouthed for her liking.

Leila shrugged under Mia's intense gaze.

'please if you have nothing to say, shut up' Mia hissed.

Leila eyed her, quenched her cigarette and left the room. Florence chuckled as she left.

'this your cousin is foolish eh' Mia snorted.

'leave ma baby cousin for me jhor! The feeling's mutual though. She hates you and you hate her. Equation balanced!'

'thank God she's no longer here. Time for matured talk' Mia sat up 'i've come up with a plan actually. But i'll be needing Shiv's help and i dont know if its a good idea'

'lets hear it' Florence took a long drag from her cigarette.

***
'Dora, what was that for?' Dike asked immediately he entered her open room. She was seated on the bed, crosslegged, a novel in hand, an earphone on her ears. Clad in just jean bumshorts and a pink C-back singlet. Her hair was packed into three. She had no make-up on.

She raised her head up quickly as though startled 'Dike you...' then what he said registered in her brain 'what did you mean?'

'the pool incident. Dora i know you hardly swim. But today you suddenly decided to swim. And its no coincidence that it was the day i chose to swim with Shivani right?' He winked. He wasnt angry. He just found Dora's jealousy amusing and interesting. Why did she seem so insecure around Shivani?

'wh...what do you mean?' She stuttered 'i swim...sometimes. And today happens to be one of the sometimes' She tried to shrug nonchalantly.

'are you serious?'

'dead serious' She returned her gaze back to her novel.

Shivani walked into the room that moment 'Dora, Chinny's calling you...' Then she stopped acknowlegding Dike's presence. She managed a small smile and he responded with a small nod.

'what are you doing in my room?!' Dora nearly barked in anger. This Shivani was looking for something terrible. And when she sees it, she's going to make it so miserable for her.

'Chinny's calling you. Thats what i came to tell you' Shivani said returning her gaze to Dike, then she quickly turned and left.

An idea popped into Dike's head in a bid to make Dora jealous and he turned quickly 'Shivani? Hold on. I want to tell you something' He dashed out of Dora's room too, but not without noticing the funny look on Dora's face.

Dora squeezed the novel in anger. She just couldnt control herself. She flung the book away and rushed after both of them. She found them talking just before Adanna's toom which was adjacent to hers.

'Dike?' She called out. He turned to her.

'yes?'

'please i want to see you in private' She eyed Shivani.

'let me finish talking to Shivani' Dike knew that was going to blow Dora's head in anger.

'what?!'

'i'll be in the kitchen. We'll talk later' Shivani quickly scrambled away.

Dora felt her hatred towards this girl triple. Shivani was a threat to her in that house.

'what did you wanna talk to me about?' Dike was loving every inch of this. He never knew Dora was this jealous.

'nothing' She swallowed a hiss 'why is Chinny even calling me?' She muttered to herself.

Dike smiled.

***
'why did you call me?' Dora asked.

The others were all seated around the dinning having their dinner.

'is that supposed to be a question or what? Cant you see we're eating or have you any plans to starve today?' Chinny asked.

'mtcheeww. Was that why you sent this girl to call me?' She pointed an irritating finger at Shivani.

'point of correction,' Chinny said calmly 'Shivani's not just "this girl", she's Shivani. Just incase you've had your brain washed'

'Chinny, dont insult me' Dora warned.

'please Dora sit down and eat' Adanna said calmly 'we should just stop fighting for once in this house'

'what i've discovered is since Shivani stepped foot into this house, its always been one problem or the other' Benita shrugged.

'so what are you trying to say now?' Chinny was fast to retort 'thats she's a trouble-magnet or what?!'

'Chinny calm down, thats not what she meant' Ada said still trying to maintain her cool.

'everyone should mind the way they speak in this house. Because i wont tolerate anything nonsensical anymore in this bloody house' Chinny warned.

'what pains me the most is that no one referred to you here' Benita hissed.

'will you silent that wrinkled mouth of yours before i do so?!' Chinny thundered.

Please everyone...
I'd like to make an announcement...
Starting from tomorrow, i'm very sad to announce that my updates would no longer be consistent as before. This is due to several factors.
My pregnancy which is almost due plus the professional/promotional examinations which i have to start preparing for.
I was supposed to write last year but i fell sick and wasnt able to write. Thats to say i was due for promotion last yr but i couldnt because of my illness. And this year, pregnancy. But i've talked to my superiors and i would be writing this yr. Because if i dont, its still next yr. And i've been due a yr ago. So i just have to write notwithstanding my pregnancy. Coupled with house chores and pregnancy palava. I dont think i'll cope very well.
So the updates wont be consistent anymore. Especially starting from tomorrow. Not that they wouldnt drop. They just wont be consistent. I just hope y'all understand.
Thanks for understanding,
Chumzypinky

Tradition...
Mia sat crosslegged on the sofa, her tablet in her palms. She was engrossed with the porn she was watching that she didnt notice her mother walk in.

'Mia'

She turned instantly, turning the tablet down 'yes?'

'are you aware that the Lolo's celebrating her 45th birthday tomorrow?' She placed her arms under her breast.

'really? I wasnt aware'

'as usual we were all invited. And as usual your sister would be there as well. So i came to BEG you. I came to PLEAD with you that you be in your best behavious throughout the party. Please do not go there and show the whole world that you're a fool. Please, do not go there and tell the whole world that your mother did not raise you well. Please do not go there and tarnish our family name, i beg you. I know you can never avoid trouble, and thats why i'm telling you, once you get there, look for a seat and sit alone. Do not interact with anyone. Do not fool yourself Mia because if such happens, i'll not spare you. Have i made myself clear?'

Mia resisted a snort 'i've heard you'

'i've ordered for the clothes you're to wear. Please dress properly and look beautiful. You're already of age for marriage. Get married and leave my house please! And let me have peace. When you look good and compose yourself, men will approach you. But when you dress anyhow and do anyhow, no man would want to approach you. Please i beg you' She slapped her palms together 'do not misbehave. Because if you do, you'll hear weeenn in my had. I've said mine. If you like, go contrary to it' She hissed and walked away.

Mia rolled her eyes as a smile crept into her oval face 'now, things would go as planned'

***
'why arent you going for the birthday Dike?' Adanna asked.

Dike didnt respond for a good five minutes. And when he finally did, it was Dora he faced 'i would be present at the party, but i just will be late'

'but it was Ada that asked you the question, not Dora' Chinny said quickly.

Dike chose to ignore her.

'but can we take that cars along?' Ada asked again.

'whatever you want to do' Dike replied not sending a glance her way.

Dike looked around. Everyone was present except Shivani. He wondered where she was. Her room he guessed. Then a small smile crept into his face 'Dora, where's Shivani? I havent seen her since'

The look on Dora's face was priceless 'why...why are you asking me that question?'

'i was just worried 'bout her. I think i'll check up on her later' He smiled inwardly.

'whats that?' Dora was quick to ask 'why would you want to check up on her? She's in her room, probably sleeping her life away'

'Doraaa!' Chinny pouted 'if he wants to check up on her, then its none of your business. Whats your problem?'

'and whats your own?! Who called you in this matter now?'

'you're just being a foolish jealous animal! You think you're the only one deserving of Dike's attention right? Animal!'

'dont you dare insult me!'

'both of you stop!' Benita shouted 'whats your problem? Why are you both always quarelling? Since Shivani stepped her foot in this house, nothing's ever remained the same. One quarel or the other. And the both of you aint even helping matters. Even you Chinny, you mustnt side with her every step of the way. And you Dora, must you slander Shivani everytime? Give the girl some break too. And you Chinny, give Dora break as well'

'i hear you madam peacemaker!' Chinny eyed her, then she faced Dike 'Mr Dick, if you want to check up on Shiv, then you're free. Dont let any oversabi jealous housewife discourage you'

'did i ask for your opinion?' Dike asked and rose on his feet.

**
'we'll hang out tomorrow then. I have a surprise for you' Richelle said over the phone.

Shiv smiled 'what surprise? Let me know, you know i dont really like surprises'

'okay. I'll tell you. Though i'm not supposed to tell you. But thing is, Choudhary's in town'

'what?!'
