Omg Oogway.. Not again.
U said uve written USMLE.. Done and dusted it, how come u re now saying it ws PLab u wrote? Or u wrote both? grin
Reference to this post I quote.

Oga, I told you. Until you show me where I said I schooled in UI or another of false accusations then i'll answer you.
Back to the bone of contention ever asked yourself why people prefer UK to USA for residency even when US pay far far better and with better facilities?
Getting a residency placement in US isn't beans ask anyone who has gone through USMLE without a family member abroad, currently with Truimp as president you don't expect me to leave my chances alone to US.
people write residency program for 3 4 countries depending on their financial buoyancy but ofcourse you're too myopic to know.

2ndly quite lying about your admission status hope you know in your admission seeking slip you were quick to upload your JAMB reg number is there and anyone can easily verify your admission status through JAMB site. but i'll leave that for the world to verify.

Rather than run around trying to get a payback in places that doesn't exist you should embarrass me by gaining admission and getting a couple of Ds in your mb

Don't quote me again Oga

Thank God you're good but not"so good".it depends on how your passion drives you ,

**You'll need both physics and chemistry at your o'level and jamb(to see you been admitted)
And also at your pre-medical year(a minimum of 'B' to see you cross to the next level)

***so long you want medicine go for it, thank God you now know your weakness, work on them and the sky will be your starting point..

****Dr lomaxx was an 'art' student just before he got admitted to study MBBS..,he passed out from secondary school as an art student but he knew what he wanted. He later enroll again for WAEC&JAMB to study MBBS (physics and chemistry required) subjects he didn't offer for once in secondary school ..but he made it and had straight A's in them at 100l

even a stark illiterate can own and run a private hospital, but there must be a resident doctor on ground, with annual practicing license.....

you and the doctor would reason out things, as he would be the one to be called when things go awry eg in the case of sudden death....

so MLS wan own hospital, if doctor open lab (even as a consultant pathologist) we go dey hear nonsense... nigeria!!!!!

A stark illiterate can't RUN a private hospital but can own one (building + facilities). The right professionals and personnel RUN the hospital cos of their licenses.
Most private hospitals require the licenses of the different sections they want to operate to RUN it
So many doctors I've seen own and open a lab but they don't RUN it. Most private hospital labs are owned by doctors but they don't RUN it (license). Some doctors own pharmaceutical stores but they don't RUN it either.
Own (building + name + facilities), Run (daily activities + operation)

Bros, when i mean own and run, i mean own and co-ordinate what the doctors and other health professionals do, simple!! Lets not confuse ourselves with the use of english.....

And please, don't let me start another argument about doctors owning and having exclusive power to run labs as far as they are consultant pathologists.... as stated in the MDCN act CAP 2004

Before you will state whats not in the MDCN Act (as usual), please answer this simple question?
Is the MDCN primarily responsible for the practice of Pathologists, Radiologists, Clinical pharmacologists, ophthalmologist?
Pathcare, Firmcare, Clinalancet labs are owned by pathologists but they don't RUN it
Besides I'm not here to argue either

if after seeing what i posted above, you still feel MDCN does not regulate laboratory medicine, and as such can give a consultant full autonomy to own and run a laboratory to perform investigations and advice the clinician on what to do, then please get out of my thread and stop displaying ignorance here.....

I don't argue much, go to clinix and ask who ran for tests he reported.....He only did his job by making a report
If the test would require the consultant to make a report on the test that's where his services would come in. The consultants in Clinix don't run the lab (you can take a walk and see things yourself). If it requires their input, they review and make report to guide the requesting physician (primarily their job) - offer advanced consultative services on special cases that requires their input.
I can't be brain washed not on something I know about

I know you'd be quick to post this I'm not surprised but that's just what "they" want you to see but need I tell you none of these are in the main act dating from 1988, 1992, 2004 and 2010? Well sorry I'm neither insulting you nor medical practice oo but to be true to you, my brother its not there - No such thing (the words from Nassnig is binding and can't be changed by individuals)

Anybody can put whatever they wish to on any website after all they paid to host it. Back to the act, The MDCN doesn't control Laboratory medicine neither does it regulate clinical laboratory practice. I have the acts dating from 1988 MDPA to the amended 2010 act. Brother no such thing as whats on the MDCN website on the main act.
Besides MDCN doesn't and can't control Laboratory medicine the NPMCN does (post graduate diploma) by the act establishing it (NPMCN Act N59 of 2004) but the NPMCN doesn't regulate the practice of its graduates (the reason for my earlier question)

Below is your act, get it from Nassnig not on the front page of MDCN website (scam). NASSNIG are the custodian of this act not a website. The yellow letters should strike whats written on MDCN website brother

The main act is on MDCN website but yet they post another thing on the homepage (confused website). Download the act from MDCN website and compare to the screen shot you shared. Here's a quick link to "your" act.....Enjoy grin

Please I beg of you don't misinterpret my post, a MLS graduate CAN'T AND WILL NEVER BE ABOVE A CONSULTANT PATHOLOGIST AS BOTH ARE DIFFERENT AND UNIQUE PROFESSIONS

The download is not a Google article but the link to MDCN website containing the supposed Act. But if you find it hard to believe I will post the soft copy of cap M8 here (check down to see it).

The MDCN like all other councils are primarily involved in training of its practitioners at the university and regulate their practice afterwards as postgraduate studies is out of their function (Same applies to other councils).

So of all postgraduate study MDCN regulate it's only Laboratory medicine? Doesn't that sound fishy (MDCN can't regulate radiology, clinical pharmacology, O & G, Surgery and ophthalmology abi).

The NPMCN is mandated with training in Laboratory medicine and all postgraduate studies not MDCN according to NPMCN Act of 2004 (visit NPMCN website >> go to about us and inform yourself).

Thanks and have a wonderful night sir

I am forced to quote you one more time.....

I didnt say MDCN regulates ONLY laboratory medicine (at least you have agreed they regulate lab medicine and not the post graduate college)

the NPMCN regulates post graduate training in all medical fields, once they become consultants they are no longer under the college, they stand on their own and are controlled by the MDCN....

there is no bias here, the same MDCN regulates house officers, medica;l officers and consultants in all fields including all clinical specialties, radiology and yes, LAB MEDICINE!!! the post graduate college deals with those who are undergoing further training to become consultants....

have a wonderful day too sir...... grin grin

I may have to quote you again sir,

If you had read my post you'd have seen where I stated MDCN can't regulate laboratory medicine as it's not NPMCN (law). MDCN makes operation and guidelines for students practical in clinical laboratory (based on evidence shown).

Even the pathologists and their labs is being accredited by MLSCN (MLSCN Act 19 1(d). Have they submitted their practice to MLSCN? No. If MDCN regulates what you claim they do why aren't they responsible for their accreditation and the operation of the place.

Look carefully at the picture this happened less than 3 months back (you may need to zoom to appreciate the picture). Get your facts right don't always jump on self defense to say things which are alien and non-existent.

Good night
