Abeg,am now officially tired of using manual breast pump... somebody will be tired and I will be sitting pumping for like one and half hours. I used lasinoch and it was working well for me but later I realized that it's not easy pressing with hands.

Please any suggestion on electric breast pump. And hope it doesn't make breast sag #whodathelp. Cc: AlphaHandMaiden, zaynie, enque,jazzjazz and all other sabi mama.

Maybe you should read the instructions on the tin.
I do know formula is recommended for kids till they clock 12months.

Don't stress urself, get an electric breast pump if u can afford one or
Make do with the manual pump, i mean, manage it
Continue to put her to breast, it might just be temporary
Continue to supplement with formula

I had my DD on 9th tru c-section dats 3weeks ago but av been in my mother in laws house she does tins I dnt like pressing DD breast for milk, giving her nospamine, pulling her leg and hands to carry her up when bathing for her, she has started giving her water and formula KIA I almost cried wen I saw that.

@ROFEMIGUWA: it happened to my baby and i wanted to see d pead but my husband said it was too much carbohydrates because it happens to him sometimes too. so, i began a personal observation and discovered that anytime i eat rice for dinner(especially if i eat late) my baby wakes up with heavy discharge in his eyes. i stopped and the discharge stopped. for good measure, i ate rice several days later, and the discharge was back in his eyes

Your MIL has taken over for her to offer ur dd formula without your consent. Have you been away for this to take place? I no sabi the lie lie part cos you have TOP say in the matter and don't need to lie about anything. All you need do in my own opinion is to appreciate her assistance during omugo and tell her its time to go. You are still healing one month post CS, so you have to apply wisdom and do minimal house chores. Cheers sis

Enque you can use the Lumerax. Though there caution for breastfeeding mum that's because a little gets into d breastmilk but no cause for alarm.

Common culprit could be conjuctivitis.

She may have either picked it up at day care or if she has a cold, the viruses are very similar and quite easily transfer to the eyes..
Just keep wiping the eye with clean damp cotton wool.
It may or may not come with redness or discomfort. You can give paracetamol if she is feverish. But It should clear up in a few days.

However if it seems to be getting worse, please go see a doctor to rule out anything more sinister.

Thanks went ro d doc was giving eye drop.but holding off on it.am wiping with cotton wool n warm water like u advised.

DD was never a fan of formula.
Mum made fresh pap consisting Guinea corn, yellow corn and millet.
1 derica each.

My dear, the speed she uses to finish the pap dey make me fear.

Ah kon dey fear make she no over fat.

So basically, what we do for now is Pap......very watery. Very watery. And enough milk. No sugar. Or sugary stuff.

I may try the banana purée in her pap this weekend.

Mine is about 7 wks older tho.

Being a mother is indeed a full-time job..

You still need to take it easy oh. You can do some chores but you'll need help. I was fine 2 weeks post cs but I was advised against heavy lifting. You may have to voice out for her. Or ask your dh for the best way to approach his mum

I did not touch anything oh. I feel it's a pump issue cos na both sides no work. I go look am again today. I was so frustrated I just packed it to one side. I will soon resume and na now I need the pump pass. Hope it works sha

He recommended it but the nurses inserted it. Not to scare you but that ish left me traumatized. My threshold for pain is quite low I guess
