I never met the boy and I do not know him but i just came across a thread that said a 23 year old boy was sentenced to death by hanging for a crime he committed 4 years ago.

what crime?

he stole an android phone.

this boy was still a teenager when he did this, under normal terms he is still regarded as a minor, why should he be killed at such a young age.

I know every crime deserves a punishment but death for a teenager over a stolen phone is too harsh..why not community service? he has already spent 4 years in prison..

the phone costs 87000, 870000 now is more or less a chicken change because its is worthless if you got to the market..our politicians that steal billions are just arrested for show and nothing is done to them...

I know it is uncommon for a joker like me to ask of this but if a joker has taken a matter serious, then its really serious..

Let's get something straight, no judge sentences an accused to death for just theft, there must be something involved. Murder, manslaughter, rape, attempted murder.
Not saying the sentence is right or he's guilty, but let's hear the full story first

it was Reported that he stabbed someone in the process of stealing but no death was recorded.. attempted murder yes..but as reported the boy has changed a lot during his 4 years in prison...despite the fact that it was attempted murder and theft, the age and social class of the boy should be put into consideration.

I still regard all what he did as an act of juvenile delinquency. more years can be added to his jail term but definitely not death.. it will still be recorded that he was killed for stealing a phone..

4years in the pen can do a lot for a hardened criminal
I suggest you find out more. Is he a first time offender? Has he killed someone in the past? Is this story even true?

Don't get involved in what you know little or nothing about please. You're simply being sentimental, not factual because that wasn't just a case of stealing as you're presenting it to be. You should have found out how many count charges the nigga was slammed with, and the charges involved.

You are right.
23 - 4 = 19 years of age when he commited the crime..
He has seen 4 years of jail time already. His cumulative jail time for theft/robbery/burglary and attempted murder shouldn't exceed 15 years
