In the last couple of weeks , no doubt we have been inundated and probably entertained by the fiasco of the external affairs of a popular man of God, and the educational affairs of a popular Senator. i must say ahead that i am not a fan of any of the parties mentioned and involved, and in my own personal opinion, they are all on the way to perdition. Well, that's just my personal opinion, right? One thing that links all these fellows is the fact that they know the way to the court, have all placed suits/cases in court this month, and probably the fact that they are also linked with sahara reporters(lol).
My bone of contention and my surprise though has been the ways in which the matters have been handled. Over here in Nigeria, politicians simply do not care or send what is said of them. Most of them are annually accused of lying, stealing, corruption, rituals, and even murder. The unison answer has been some form of orchestrated silence and "I don't care", and time usually waves away the force of the assertions and accusations. But I was taken aback with the efforts, mediums and speed with which Senator Dino Melaye of Kogi State has gone to defend his academic qualifications these past few weeks. Here I am thinking it is the apostle that would bother or should care to make all the effort. While i am not in any way letting the Senator off the hook or saying he is innocent or guilty of the accusations. i am nonetheless impresses with his efforts at saving face and proving his accusers wrong and himself right. The Senate even had a ethics committee to look into it. They called on the Vice Chancellor to verify things. The Senator posted serving photos, explained and tweeted to the world of the year and set of his graduation, where he served etc. We even have his NYSC certificate as it were, and he comically addressed himself and wore convocation gown as mr authentic graduate. His videos are on youtube, twitter, facebook, instagram, everywhere. And then his colleagues from school came to his aid. Whether he is lying or not is another subject on his own but you cannot question the effort at integrity and name clearing.
On the other side is the apostle drama and the near mafia way in which his accusations have been handled. From the little i know from Bible, you either clear your name or let God do it for you as it were. In this case, the apostle has neither made any effort to clear his name or God's name or allowed/wait for God to do it.
Rom 2:24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

All we have heard from the apostle asides his going to court have been a lot of threatenings and name callings. He's got the lady arrested, he's called her a terrorist, a blackmailer, ugly, he's even done a music video. i thought he would at least learn to make some effort to clear up things instead of muddling up issues. It would not remove anything from him if he disproved the accusations by showing his travel itinerary or his passport pages with dates, or some sort of alibi. The Bible apostle Paul sought to live in good conscience in the sight of all men. His defense against false accusations made on him are strewn all over parts of the Acts of the Apostles and some of his epistles.

Still one would expect the apostle to be the one attempting to clear up issues, not the politician.

Well said OP.

The apostle should counter Stephanie's claims with evidence, he has more to lose than her.
