Nysc or ur baby? Choose one! I thought nysc said they would no longer accept nursing mothers and pregnant ladies. If na me be ur boss i no go even send you. Infact u will work from 8am to 6pm including weekends. You know u want to serve and yet u went and fvck and got pregnant. I hate all these women always using their pregnancy and baby to play victims so that they can always be favoured. That's how they irritated me during my service 2 years back.
Fvck y'all. ..
YOU are a wicked and heartless person may this same situation be the fortune of your wife ,your daughters and your sisters

Which military unit is that? But more specifically one way out is to defer your service. Another way out is to identify some course mates of your boss and get them to state your case to him for consideration. Course mates are very influential in the military.

to the best of my understanding,NYSC rules stipulate that pregnant women shouldn't be in camp, which means by extension if you were pregnant you either apply for an exempt or you wait a year .the fault is from you not your boss

I AM LOSING MY MIND, KINDLY ADVISE.
I am a doctor and corper, posted to one of the military hospitals in Lagos. I was actually pregnant b4 service and few months in service, I was delivered of a baby.
I was made to observe my maternity leave and I resumed this January but ever since resumption, it has not been easy.
I returned this Jan to meet a newly posted military boss (doctor) who hasn’t made life bearable for my daughter and I
I was initially taking my baby to work, but as a baby, she is susceptible to infections of all kinds. I opted to take her to a day care. I worked 8am to 2pm before this new boss, but now, 8am to 4pm.
And two weekends in a month, I do ‘weekend call’ which makes the matter worse, for such a week, I practically have few hours to spend with my baby and the government is talking of 6 months exclusive breastfeeding. I met with another LGI who said corpers were not meant to do calls.
I don’t need all time off work, all I need is my normal 8am-2pm, Mon to Fri I was doing and I will manage to cope without complaining.
I thought NYSC promised married and nursing mothers a better treatment, if not, I would have waited till this yr, now that I am even 30.
My concern is my baby, she is growing seriously lean by the day, she lacks attention and my boss doesn’t care. She has had persistent rashes and big boils for over a month she resumed day care and its totally driving me crazy.
I went to see my Local govt inspector to complain only for him to chicken out just because a military woman lambasted him on phone, leaving me to my fate.
If something bad happens to my 5-month old daughter, NYSC wld say, "but why were u silent?"
It’s a military setting and really don’t know the process of lodging complaints. My boss seems to be a sadist, maybe not, but she has really never been nice to me.
A scenario; My baby was hot overnight and I felt I needed to watch her a little before dropping her at the day care, and I felt I needed to inform my boss. I called her, no response, sent her a text message of late coming, she didn’t respond only for me to get to work and she said all sorts.
Her own grown child fell ill, she took the day off. If this is what NYSC is all about, it is seriously not worth it! I have 2 months to complete NYSC, but I can’t help seeing my baby in this condition. Even at work, I lose focus.
Can u imagine what a doctor out of her senses can do?? Its tearing me apart!!
Am I taking it too personal or the treatment should be fairer? I am literally losing my mind and nobody is fighting my course.
WHAT DO I DO?

Bros trust me, that one year is not worth it, except you just wanna cool off after house job and read for exams.
A larger number of doctors are better off skipping service.
How dyou skip service and expect to work in Nigeria?

I had similar experience, mine I started work after 2months.ways to manage 1)look for a very good day care to keep your baby 2) Always give or buy gifts for the aunties.3)Have confidence and don't worry too much because it's affects the baby.4) breast feed your baby very before going to work 5)don't panic nothing will happen to your baby.

You are a wicked person its your type that will beat their wives and manhandle them you see a young woman with her child who is suffering not even a pity from you all you could say is that they deserve it .You are more wicked and heartless than the devil you don't deserve anything good

Congratulations dear Corper Doctor.
There are some things you must know:
1. You are no longer a student; you are now working and earning salary.
2. For you to take call duty allowance you must do call. Call is work done from 4:00pm to 8:00 am of the following day.
3. You must do this call because it is a calling for doctors.
4. About your baby. Congratulations once again. You must be a responsible mother; employ a many (professional many) and pay her professional allowance. She would work with you round the clock while in call and your husband must also be ready to help.

Op, I don't know how things work now, but in our day's u can go and see ur state Co-ordinator, if possible please try and see him /her, issues like this is difficult for LI.

That's my take.
Re: Doctor Corper Posted To A Military Hospital Cries Out For Help by mummybaloo: 10:06pm On Apr 01, 2017
My sister forget about the LI and go straight to the state secretariat, you will be well attended to there. or you can write to apply for a leave of absence to take good care of your baby and whether granted or not ,she'll report you to the same LI and of course he already knows the kind of person that she is. nothing they happen. your family first!

First of all, I will say the LGI is a bunch of F***, so it's another way simple, see the Z.I and from there proceed with a direct letter to the state coordinator, if that doesn't work, call your camp director (the man in charge of camp) so he may use his little influence to talk to any other of the hierarchy be it the LGI or state coordinator, also if that doesn't work, am afraid, you have to inform DG Kazuare, by any means you can write through him or NYSC direct too. This is really bad and wickedness. The so called military that had Corps member trained In camp can do this, what a country... Seem like hanging on a noose. please I hope this advice will help, you have to be reposted.

Since the LGI is a myopic minded man, I will suggest you should contact your Zonal Inspector (ZI) I guess they are parents so they should have human feelings.

The best solution to your problem is as long as u said it's a military location just walk straight to the military officer that is in charge of the unit not meanly the head of the hospital that u are working under.
Re: Doctor Corper Posted To A Military Hospital Cries Out For Help by Larrywax2016: 4:14am On Apr 02, 2017
Write across to the State Coordinator which ever way u can. LGI's don't take welfarism serious!
