Representatives from top European teams will be at Ghelamco Arena on Sunday to watch the Belgian First Division A clash between KAA Gent and Club Brugge.

Het Laatste Nieuws says Manchester United, Chelsea, Stoke City and Brighton & Hove Albion scouts have been sent to Belgium to keep tabs on the players of both teams.

Other teams interested in the league match include Atlético Madrid, AS Monaco, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Benfica, Valencia, Lille, Saint-Etienne, Stade Rennes, Montpellier, Lorient, Lens, Hoffenheim, Frankfurt, FC Basel, Atalanta, Basaksehir, PSV and FC Utrecht.

Nigeria international Moses Simon has been widely linked with a move to the English Premier League in the near future and has a chance to show off his skills today if he gets game time.

Gent new signing Samuel Kalu has caught the eye since his arrival from AS Trencin and will also be under the spotlight.
William Troost-Ekong, Rabiu Ibrahim and Anderson Esiti have all been named in Gent’s provisional 21-man squad for the game against Club Brugge.

You cant tell me that u dnt know that the Teslim Balogun stadium has abt the best artificial pitch in Nigeria.

The issue was not the Pitch bt the heavy rain that took place hours before and during the match.
Now dnt raise an issue of poor drainage in the Teslim Balogun stadium bc the PH and Calabar stadiums are not any better.

To your second paragraph, that statement u jst made is not an evidence that the boys were not paid their U17 qualification allowances.
So pls i need something more concrete. Show me any link to that claim.

Would you prefer the Super Eagles play on the pitch of Teslim Balogun Stadium or Port Harcourt pitch. Answer.

Secondly, what is not concrete. Amunike told the boys during the U17 World Cup to forget their allowances owed and focus on the title and you say not concrete. Are you saying you did not read the complaints of the players during their striker before the ill fated game against Sudan?

We failed them. Who told you artificial pitch make better playing turf. Keshi even criticised the idea.

Answer, which pitch will you prefer for the Super Eagles.

Denilson is the real definition of a street kid who football gave an escape, just the type you advocated for yesterday. I wonder how you could question the talent of a kid from such background who broke into the Sao palo Copa libertodores winners team at 17.
Brazil youth team captain from the U15's to U17. You're talking about a player with rising profile, why you will blame a club for looking at such a player is lost on me.
Was Denilson one of the star players of Sao Paolo? I can tell you Anderson was the best player in Gremio, followed by Lucas Leiva who joined Liverpool.

Denilson was not among. I watched the tournament and Denilson was not among the stars to remember.

Super Eagles fans in Lagos state will soon start watching their darling team at the iconic Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos again following the state's government's plan to change the venue's artificial turf to all natural grass turf.

The senior national team has shied away from the Lagos stadium because of its artificial turf, which according to experts, puts players at risk of injury. And with the poor state of the national stadium also in Surulere, the senior national team has played their matches in every other part of the country except Lagos in recent years.

The pitch is too poor for the Super Eagles to think of playing there and you are trying to make it look like a de la cream condition.

Also, the artificial pitch with poor drainage made the condition a nightmare but you are quick to heap blames on Amunike.

Put these young boys in awful condition and want to make it look like Amunike was at fault.

NFF failed that team.

I don't get the point you're trying to make. Bale was a full back at that time and let's be honest, Cole and Gibbs were much better. Bale as a full back almost got sold when he was at Tottenham till Redknapp moved him to the wing. Nuri Sahin was approached twice but he rejected arsenal the first time and Madrid and Mou screwed Wenger up the second time. Hindsight is a very beautiful thing. As for Ibra, we already had technical forwards and what arsenal fans were crying out for was a penalty box poacher, that's why they got Jeffers. If anything, I was pissed he didn't get Van Nistelrooy when he had the chance to. As for cr7, arsenal simply couldn't afford him at that time.
Please, Jeffers to Ibrahimovic was a joke. Arsenal could afford CR7 if he put into context the massive gain Arsenal would make for such a young forward. That is my criticism. Wenger walked away repeatedly from Gold mines because of some of his voodoo financial plans.

This in question were two of the future best players in the World. As for Sahin, I am talking of sealing him before he went to Dortmund. Wenger made lots of mistakes and no defence for that.

Cole was on his way out. I do not understand why he is in the discussion. As for Gibbs, pure Arsenal hype. Time told who was the better player. Even as a left back, Bale made some extraordinary performances. Typical Wenger. Gibbs better than Bale.

Portland Timbers Adi : Nigerians Are Like Brazillians, We Can Do Crazy Things With The Ball

https://allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/51493adid.jpg

Portland Timbers striker Fanendo Adi would enter the club’s history books on Sunday if he finds the net against New England Revolution at Providence Park in the MLS.

Adi has tallied 45 goals since his arrival from FC Copenhagen in 2014, and needs one more goal to break the all-time goals record by a Timbers player.

The attacker believes much of his success comes from a love of the game started while playing on the streets in Benue.

“Nigerians are a little bit like Brazilians – we play street football a lot, ” Adi told mlssoccer.com.

“In street football you just learn from nature because there’s nobody coaching you, so you do crazy things with the ball. You use your imagination.”

The Gboko South Academy product started his career as a goalkeeper before he was converted into a striker.

That team failed themselves not even the nation Bc we as a nation have moved on. Most of them have lost the opportunity to market their skills to the world.

The players were inadequate and the coach inexperienced.

Was it not than same Teslim Balogun pitch that Manu's 2015 Flying Eagles won the Super 6 tourney?

Amuneke had a 2-1 away advantage. He went and was playing Tikky takka on a wet surface and lost 4-3 even from a 3-2 lead at a point in the game. That is unpardonable.

He has done the right thing by going back to coaching school.

People will see the truth and would be giving excuses. I dnt have anything personal against Amuneke. He is my friend. But i really felt hurt by the disappointment from him and his boys.
Ok look at how the Sudan was playing at the AYC. I even felt more disappointed seeing how they were humiliated by all their group opponents.

We are here to discuss football for the progress of our national teams. If i see where there are inadequacies in a team i will voice it.

I was the only critic of the Manu's 2015 team even before they kicked a ball at the WYC and we all saw where they ended.

I believed so much in the Amuneke's U17 team and we saw where they ended.

If a team has the tendency to excel I say it but if they dnt i also say it.

I have been a keen follower of youths football since the mid 80s. I have seen good and bad flying Eagles teams come and go. I know what constitutes a balanced or strong U20 team.

Please who humiliated Sudan? The only team that beat them with a big score didn't even make it out of their group. They even drew with Senegal the finalist.

Did you watch the matches?

In the draw against Senegal, Senegal were one man down and a goal down yet they continued to mouth heavy pressure on Sudan until the equalizer.

Sudan went further to lose 4-1 and 3-1 to Cameroun and SA respectively.

These Sudan could hardly string up 3 straight passes throughout the tourney.

They were by far the worst team in that tourney.

Yes they will be remembered as U17 Champions.

But what would they be remember for at U20?

Do u know that when i saw the draw: Nigeria vs Sudan, my mind went back to the Gbenga Okunowo led Flying Eagles of 1997.
We beat Sudan 2-1 at home and lost 1-0 in Sudan. Sudan scaled through on away goals. Similar thing repeated itself.

A good number of them would have had another opportunity to sell themselves.

Somebody has to be the worst, there were alot of quality sides in that tournament.
That red card story means nothing. Didn't we all see real madrid with a man down come back and beat barca 2-1. They did ok for a country that is not always in the ayc.
I said this after the u20 world cup and people here wanted me dead, teams can always lose, it's no big deal. U have to accept that we lost and stop sharing blame like election rice. They gave their all and it wasn't enough so we move on. There is no need to bash these young men.

I like the part..when you said "but his choice of players"
our local coaches all have that problem...... same with keshi. we all are fully at rest knowing well that rohr will always field the right players but same can never be said if he was a Nigerian or one of our ex-internationals

I really think amuneke messed up big time him and his boys had the opportunity to make history by competing and winning the under 20 world cup and who knows the boys will get juicy contracts from that... and him too will raise his profile and get a good coaching job elsewhere even in Europe but he blew it up
