Craigston: Well, the oath we medical doctors take on being inducted into our profession has a lot of references to God...or at the very least to divinities. And most doctors swear using the Bible or Quran on taking the oath (although you can opt out of doing that ). |

MrEgbegbe: To foolishly think there is no God is living in a fantasy world of tail-like fairies and you're a premature atheist that displays a significant amount of cerebral palsy and deranged cerebrum. Atheists should know that foolishness displayed in virtual e-world is directly proportional to parental upbringing provided joblessness remains constant. 3 Likes |

I consider myself a Christian, but I welcome this development. I just hope they won't be as cowardly as the atheists on Nairaland. When it comes to bashing Christianity they are as bold as lions, but when it comes to one religion founded by an illiterate pedophile "prophet" they become as timid as mice. 2 Likes |

mmsen:I understand the move tho, I just don't think the Atheist society should be the one making this petition. Soon the so called Atheist society would be marred in Bureaucracy typical Nigerian fashion, The higher ups would be honour and revere like pastors or religious leaders, The rest of the atheists will have no choice but to accept whatever decision the higher ups make. They would be seen as the representation of atheism in Nigeria. And then a new religion would be born, all what we have condemn. But all in all this is progress, only in the wrong manner. 1 Like |
