"Hello, I am G-boy" he stretched forth his hand for a handshake.

"I am Godwin." The guy said, he was in a tracksuit and a white T-shirt, he had his ears and nose heavily pierced.

"Do you know about the Shadow? Shadow of the Green?" Gori asked typing away in his phone. The guy looked up, two things were troubling him. He knew about G-boy, the smartest yahoo guy, he also knew how dreaded Shadow is, some people claimed there was a relationship between G-boy and Shadow. He was not sure which was sitting opposite him.he felt warm inwardly, he shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

"Godwin, answer me..." He asked in a voice close to a whisper, he was not looking up either.

"G-boy, what is my relationship with the question?" He was sweating already, he shifted in his seat as he wiped sweat off his face.

"Ans-wer me..."

"A random guy who have been killing some lecturers children always leave a note behind claiming he is the shadows of the green...." He replied in his most friendly voice.

"Do you know who the Green are?" He asked as he lit a stick of cigarette.

"Gr... gre ... En... No o... Maybe it is a fraternity or so..."

"Godwin..." He looked up. "Have you ever seen the shadow act?" He sighed.

"Why are you asking me all this young man..." He asked with the little courage he had left.

"Even if you raise your voice like someone who swallows a homespeaker,bro... Sorry to burst your bubbles... No one would listen" he dragged his cigarette.

"Try that!" Godwin made to stand up but his feet were rooted, he could not lift his legs either.

" I am the shadow." Gori said as he gulped down a glass filled of Beer. Godwin was alerted, those who had met with the Shadow earlier died after their encounter with him.

"Why are you here?" He was shaking, his body was heavy.

"You are Godwin Enahoro, the number two of the young Green. You are twenty six years, you are in your third year studying urban and regional planning. You stay at Akoh-Osha hostel. You have three sisters and a widowed mother. You are the first son, you have a live-in girlfriend..." Godwin was astonished, This was truly the shadow, he knew everything about him.

"Now listen." He relaxed his back as he rested well. "I have been assigned to kill the seven of you... I mean the Seven young green... Do you really know what colour green stands for?" He asked with his arms crossed, Godwin was reciting his last prayer already, he knew his end was near.

"It means inexperienced.... Nature.... Don't you think some people are trying to manipulate you?" He paused as he bit his fingernail. "Well, I have chosen you among the seven young inexperienced Green.... If you help me, I'll save your live." Godwin adjusted well in his seat, he did not know whether the shadow would spear his life or not.

"I have five names of the young green and six names of the Green. I need the remaining three names... Or else I will not spare you and would still know who they are."

"Ehm... Bro, the seventh Green should be the leader ... Am I right?" Gori nodded in affirmation. "Well, no one knows who he is, it is rumored he does not exist."

"How about the other two young Green?" Gori asked.

"We are not to disclose our identity... The penalty is death."

"Do you think you will die when I am here with you? The only person that can kill you right now is me." Gori chuckled.

"I am scared! I will die!" Godwin bursted into tears. "I have my mother and siblings to look after. They are looking up to me as their hero and breadwinner." He lamented.

"Jack is in his finals, ICT, He is the only one who knows the true identity of the leader...." He confessed.

"Who is the seventh person?"

"The new recruit."

"Who is he?"

"I do not know him. He will be introduced during the next meeting."

"What is the Green? Who is the shadow? Was that not what we saw in her handbag? Why is it the same person who killed my daughter that killed Bileri and Dozie. Is it not shady enough?"

"Akin, I don't need you anymore. There was no love between us. It was Kayode that kept me this long in your house! I hate you... I hated you since you started defiling that bed!" She was in tears as she pointed towards their bedroom.

"Am I not taking care of you enough?"

"You can say that again!" She rolled her eyes.

"So now that there is no more Kay, you chose to leave me and go with my properties... The one you did not work for!"

"Oh! What property? Like I don't have my money before we met? I am an hairstylist which you know... I make hair for the bigwigs in the society... So watch your tongue, you bastards." Akin gave her a long gaze, he loved her. He knew he wronged her and he was the cause of her present predicament. He was not told it would turn out bad. He was overambitious and it had caused him his dear family, his wife and lovely daughter.

"Mummy... Please ma, don't do this to our husband... He..." Maryann begged.

"Shut up! You slut! ò rí ogún o lógún dèbìtì àyà tí. Sheybi this is what you want... Me, my husband and my kid! Oh! You know I am your mummy when you were opening your store for him! CHAPTER TEN
JACK VERSUS G-BOY

Gori laid on his bed, he had his glaze on the picture hanging on the wall, it was a picture he took with Tiwatope. Her stomach was protruding already, she was in her late trimester. They had been keeping it from their parents especially their parents. He felt cold inwardly, he adjusted in bed, his instinct sensed danger.

"Nice to meet you." He heard a voice at his back, he turned driftly, his room was locked. Who could enter. He turned to meet a very tall guy of about six-seven feet high, He was heavily built, his muscles were so visible and through his swift calculation, the guy could easily defeat John Cena.

"Who are you?" It was the first time in a long time he was frightened, he could enter anywhere, face anyone and act anyhow. This hefty man who entered his room unannounced, he came through the air or so he guess. Whosoever he was, he must be a diabolic man.

"You want to meet me, don't you? The intruder moved closer to him smiling.

" who are you?"

"Nice meeting you, dear timid shadow." He strolled freely across the room, Gori was already on his feet.

"Who are you before I loose my patience!" How could the stranger call him a TIMID!

"Well, won't you offer your visitor a bottle of champagne?" He approached the portable freezer, he brought out a bottle of 9PM. He popped it and served himself, he sat comfortably in bed with his legs twisted.

"Who are you?!" He was loosing his cool, he wanted to strangle the intruder if he could get closer.

"I am Jackson Babatunde, the Jack. I am the leader of the young Green." His arms were crossed as a smile played across his lips.

"How dare you enter my room?!" His hands were on his collar, he dragged him up and they gave a perfect picture of 'David and Goliath'. Gori was burning with rage,his prey had the gut to enter his room.

"Godwin said you needed to see me, I learnt you are hunting the young Green, so I am here for you... Will you please kill me?" He pleaded sarcastically.

"So that foolish boy gave you the info?" Gori chuckled.

"He is a loyal Green." He freed himself from Gori's grip.

"I am going to bring all of you down."

"Let us wait and see, boy." The Jack lit his cigarette and took a drag.

"What are you doing here?" Gori asked feeling relaxed.

"I want something from you?" He sat down, he paused. "I want your head..." He paused. "... Or maybe you should back off."

"That is not in my dictionary. You guys have caused enough agony in this school for the past twenty-four years. You have ruined a lot of lives,killed a lot of people and you still want to exist... That is a NO! I am going to cause you guys a lot of agony!"

"I will take that as an empty threat."

"Empty you say?"

"I know two people who matters most to you, your women. Your mother and your girlfriend. If you don't back off, I will treat their fuckups." They exchanged fierce looks, each looking at the other as if his eyes could Pierce through the heart of the other.

"This is just a tip of an iceberg." She chuckled.

"I won't because you never gave me what I wanted. You never gave me a father, you never showed me love."

"Is he responsible for this?"

"Who else?" She rolled her eyes.

"That guy... The guy... Is a... He is..." She swallowed hard, she could not afford to upset her with her words.

"Mum, I have to go. I am getting registered for antenatal today." She picked her bag.

"Can you please let me follow you at least. I can't leave you alone in this position. You need my help."

"Mother-in-law." He smiled as he sat beside miss Eyiwunmi, who was staring at him in a scornful manner.

"How far, guy?" The VC greeted.

"You said I should see you?"

He walked to her and they exchanged pleasantries. The lady was not his type of woman, she was very slim and short, her hair was natural.she had not makeup on, no earrings,wristwatch or necklace. She was wearing a turtle-neck top and a long jean skirt. Even though her dark skin looked radiant, but she irritated Gori. He had no feeling for girls who were 'SU'.

"Hi" he raised his hands, the lady looked left and right as if she misplaced something.

"Hello." She responded.

"I don't understand you. Is someone or a group of people holding you hostage?" Gori questioned.

"... I'm sorry, I'm not an activist or something..." Gori was vexed, the one he had bit, he was still chewing it, how could a governor invite him for such an issue, was he a hired assassin or police. He stood up and made to leave.

"What do you want from me, I still don't know what relationship you have with the green." Gori complained, the story was so boring to him

"The Green. The Green is responsible for the rape and death of slots of students. They are ruling the state too. A lot of lives have been lost, Gori. This people rape and kill seven maidens every second and fourth Thursday. Don't you think this must stop?"

Now that my father is dead, my son is the only option you guys have, Tiwa is carrying my first child. Just pray it turns out a male and you know, you will have to wait for seven years." He laughed mockingly. "...but you know before then, I would have levelled your cult room." He mocked again.

"Well, I won't tell you how much I suffered to get this substance I am holding." He flauted a powdered sibstace in a small container. Gori laughed loudly.

"Your dead father's front tooth was one of the ingredient, Tiwa's urine too was not left out." It was Jacks turn to laughed mockingly.

"Save it for the dead!" Before Gori could sense the danger looming around, Jack blew the substance. He immediately felt nauseated, his vision was blurred, he felt dizzy, he was empty and he tasted his blood. He felt weak as he went down, he saw the gate of heaven. He knew he was going to give up the ghost. His doom was here while his mission was yet accomplished.
