lepasharon:I think it's just that most people in Nigeria know nothing about their natural hair, you can't really blame him. |

lovelygurl:Yes I agree if Nigerian women don't think their natural hair is attractive, why should others? |

lepasharon:Most Nigerian women also know nothing about their natural hair lol, the irony! They don't really know how to take care of it and their mentality is still the 'black hair can't grow' or natural hair 'is very difficult to "tame" ' mentality. I think if they get to know of the beauty that comes with being natural, many will change I have wished of having curls all my life. I didn't know I already had those curls lol! |

lepasharon:My dear, let's stop deceiving ourselves and face reality.. Most Nigerian women look better in weavons than their normal hair (at least to a large extent) |

tosyne2much:The first time I was confronted with that question was the day I realized how ignorant some people really are. All my explanations to the history and evolution of writing and materials used to write on was like talking to a waving flag: pointless. The follow up question was, "have you ever seen someone take an oath using an IPad?" |
| Re: The Stench Of Ignorance Of Nigerian Christians by lepasharon(f): 3:10pm On Apr 09, 2017 |
lovelygurl:It's a self fullfilling prophecy really, cos if they don't think their hair can grow then it never will because they wont take care of it. The interesting thing is that Africans are on their own continent, surrended by ppl that look just like them yet they have the most self hate, compared to blacks in diaspora. The natural hair movement did not start in Africa and African Americans are aware of the distant way Africans treat natural hair |

Before the 70's all these things were not found in the church, it's just that humans would always wanna content with the standards God has set to try to justify their sinful and exuberating nature.... I 've read and witnessed were a pastor uses his bible to defend a physical combat with a juju priest, i mean the pastor used the bible as a shield to defend the native doctors charm while in return the pastor uses his bible as his own charm which is the sword of the spirit according to eph 6:17...compare your phone or any electronic gadget that has the bible inscribed in it, it can never save you like the real bible with flip of pages... well, lemme me hang on here first... firstking01:Brother I don't agree with you... Any object can work as at that time provided your faith lies in it... Haven't seen situations where people use ordinary handkerchief to perform wonders? |

tosyne2much:Yh? You basically said it is OK for Nigerian women to risk baldness to look like someone other than themselves..so sit down ![]() |

menxer:My brother, believe me you can't win such people in an argument like that... No matter how much you talk about evolution of writing materials, they will bring you into their cliq of ignorance ![]() |
| Re: The Stench Of Ignorance Of Nigerian Christians by Nobody: 3:23pm On Apr 09, 2017 |
lepasharon:I know right! As in there are more ladies who are natural abroad than ladies at home even though it's a black mans' country! You would think the natural hair movement will start in Africa but nooope it started in America even though it's the African Americans that get criticised everyday. You would even expect them to have all bleached their skin because of the insults they have been dealing with since yeeeeeaaaars but nope the bleaching rate is even higher in Africa. The thing baffles me, as in I don't understand how such is possible |

tosyne2much:Well, i won't dispute that fact, but truth remains that in the days of our fathers, these things were not seen in the church, inshort women didn't know what it is to wear trousers as they saw it as taboo not to talk of wearing it to church....it was unheard of. Modified.... And to add....the bible you see as an ordinary book with pages has power already unlike the gadgets or handkerchief were you have to fortify it first before it can work...and for it to even work for you, you must be ranking high in faith if you know what i mean...a natural and canal man cannot just wake up one morning and start performing signs and wonders with handkerchief...if you keep the holybible near the shrine of a native doctor his incantations will be suspended trust me, and that's why they ensure that nothing that relates to God/jesus comes near them while they incantate. |

tosyne2much:wow colonialism really did a lot of damage in Africa. even African Americans that suffered 400 years of slavery plus years of Jim crow and segregation do not have such self hatred. after making such stupid comments you and your fellow nairaland small boys will still turn around and say Nigerian girls have low self esteem. check out pictures of beautiful Nigerian girls loving their beautiful natural afro curls.

What will you gain now that you have exposed your brethren to ridicule from unbelievers? |
