You all haven't answered my question though. Surely you must have seen someone, anyone?
my dear I have women that are really good drivers...my mum is a really good driver, one of my aunts' is also a really good driver...they are both fast drivers as well,I can attest to that and they maintain their cars like crazy...they know when the sound changes or when something is wrong..yu even see them open the hood atimes tho. But in all their mechanics are always quick to answer when they call cuz they know there is little the women can do when it comes to engine problems. All in all, some women are even better drivers than some men.

Well, I follow these steps
1. I call for help which can either be my husband, brother, friend, mechanic or passersby.
2. If I can't access the above which is hardly ever the case, I put up the red triangle, lock up and board a bus.
3. The car gets fixed and I am on the move again.

Please note that I haven't done any different from what my husband would have done in the same setting
If you know how to drive then you'd love your car and the only way you can love it is to know when its sounding good and what the problem is when it breaks down (better still, sensing when there's an imminent issue), even if you cant fix it at all/well by yourself. That's the definition of a good driver (not d speedster, but attitude is an added attribute).
now there are some of us who can smell d car's issue just before it breaks down, this could save the pocket by as much as 50-100%.
Furthermore, knowing what's wrong with your car will save you from a dubious mechanic, and it can also make a good mechanic like you if despite knowing what the problem is you treat him well (he'll leave his wife @midnyt for you, even if they're about to hav sex for d 1st tym in weeks!)

I! Its not all women that go panicking. first rule, be calm, secondly avoid applying your breaks and gradually the car will get to a reasonable spead, if the breaks still don't respond after several attempted pumps, apply your hand break to force it stop. If its a manual drive car, when at a considerably low speed and both breaks fail yet again take your gear to reverse and it'll jerk to a stop.

Nice point... Got one question though.......have you had this experience? Have you been on top speed and suddenly noticed your breaks fail? Have you been on top speed and suddenly your tires burst?

A woman with 2004 Camry (big daddy) overtook me while I was at 130km/hr along PH - Owerri road. I felt insulted, I have to accelerate to 145/150km/hr to overtake her. She was laughing and waved at me, meaning she understood why I accelerated.

Some women like my sister drives better than some men. My sister drives well on highway better than some men.
Hahahahahahaha, it is annoying sometimes when some ladies just overtake u anyhow. I don't even like my fellow men overtake talkless of women. Bt guy, there are badass female drivers ooooo

I drive very well and I dnt even have my own car yet. I have not even driven for up to a year, I can change tires and I'm really good at manoeuvering. Alot of people think I've been driving for ages and I'm a lady. I know when I have my own car, I'll know all the mechanical problems possible and what to do.

Driving is not all about turning the steering and engaging the thruttle and brakes...... Its all about attitude, sense of judgement and last of all, mechanical experience to be a professional driver...

Now judging by these parameters, I would say that the female gender cannot be better drivers than their counterparts. ..

Thank you
if I have encountered 500 women during my driving encounter,i can't pick up to 3 who re good, most of them re impatient nd annoying, they rather jam a car in front than give u space to enter their front.but they will want u to respect them when they ask u for space.well am nt a gentle man,i dont.most women re wicked when they drive.lol the only good ones I have encountered are learners, not that they re doing it from their heart but because they don't hve a choice.lol

I have driven in a lot of places across the globe and a good driver is a good driver man or woman.

However, in all my travels in Nigeria highway driving I don't ever think I have seen a woman drive long distance. I will drive from Lagos to Warri or Ph but haven't noticed any women drivers.

This is a digression but intrinsically linked to your question. Why are there not more women driving on the Nigerian highways huh huh huh huh huh huh

On the other driving around Lagos I always see very competent female drivers.

I have been driving for about 14yrs, i can beat my chest and say i drive very well and know some basics in car troubleshooting. At least few times I was able to identify the problem with my battery head and alternator, I can change fan belt perfectly, change tires is easy for me and brake pads if I'm stuck in a place I don't have help.

The road signs are the first basics of driving which I am familiar with, simple logic and common sence comes to play in most cases in driving.

Now God has blessed me with good car I experience less of such hassles in driving, just major oil change and diagnostic checks when necessary.

I still prefer to drive the manual drive cars when going on long distance journey, it keeps me alert.

The question says "good female drivers" not "good female mechanics or females with good car maintenance culture". Una just dey deviate.
How many men can fix cars themselves?
There are good female drivers, there are terrible ones too.
There are good male drivers, there are terrible ones too.
I raced with a female driver 2 years ago, I ended up spending money cos my engine knocked in the process.
She was in a 4matic benz, I was in a lexus rx300.
I was doing a 180-200kph, you can imagine her own speed. She would let me go a distance, next thing she hits her gas pedal. She did this severally then she smiled and I never saw her again.
Next thing was my engine cheesy

I don't understand what you mean Bro.
We can as well say there should be no competition in life as some persons will be more successful than others. E.g manufacturing, sports, education etc.
I don't go with that logic sir. Better to try and fail than not try at all.

A woman can't do anything that involves stress efficiently...it's a natural thing. God didn't make them that way...When considerable number of women can't replace tyres & u want them to make good drivers? undecided
Drivers not mechanics mumu

any gender can be best driver

women only take more time to make a decision hence based on stastics less women get involved in accidents compared to men

so being a best driver is one defination slow and being cautious or fast and taking risky

world best cooks are mean but doesnt women are not good cooks ?
Women mostly dont risk driving a car they know has even d slightest of fault that men would count as normal and rugged. That way, they knw dey're almost free of hassles, and when dey notice d fault on d road most of dem park and cry to hubby n mechanic on fone to do d needful but men r naturally stubborn, we go wan rugged am! grin

This is very funny. Now I know why some of you guys never stop to allow women to join the traffic. I always considered that to be rude. I must admit that though I am guilty of this sometimes, i only do it when the said individual jumps a queue while I have been waiting patiently like a good citizen.

I have been driving for nine years now and like to think I am good at driving. I also travel long distances too when the need arises with my maximum speed so far at 140km/hr.

But then again, most men don't agree that women can be pretty good drivers starting with my hubby who had to engage the services of an escort to be with me while I drive myself to and fro from Anambra to benin yesterday.

I just like to know what most men think. Have you ever seen a good driver that is a female?

If so, share your experiences please.
My mom is the best driver ive ever seen male or female she just too good
There was this time (one time out o many) that we went to church and parking space was tight and the men were offering to help her reverse, she said no, worst they were shocked when she started maneuvering without twisting her neck to look back (mirror tins na momsi first rule, she gets angry whenever i turn to look)....within moments she was out n everybody was just clapping, one guy even wanted to use the opportunity to chyke her that day momsi just swerve am(the guy must have thought i was her younger bro)momsi was even using my dad's hilux that day sef

Hardly. Cars are designed by men, for men. The sense of balance, split decision-making, spatial awareness, calm and even physical strength required to be an expert driver - theseare things women do not possess It's cut and dry.
P.S. Ain't you passive-aggressive these days cheesy
Ah! What kind of comment is this?? Imagine the nonsense. I'm sorry shocked shocked
