r4blessing:Please is this the new tradition? Am confused o cos this is not easy getting o. A bank draft in the name of who? Canadian bank account which am sure is not easy to open from here and presently frowned at by the govt of d day to export money to private account and not the institution account. |

from the letter sent to you. It' stated that the admission letter is conditional abi? If yes, there will be a page that will state the amount to pay. after they confirm this payment with your student No given. they will issue the main admission letter to apply for visa. In the conditional letter, the money is refundable BUT they will put condition there. omoba26: |

Eraytee: Hello Eraytee. I think r4blessing has already posted the content of the letter. This is a request for additional information. And if you look at what r4blessing posted as the content, so you need to determine which of the three options provided (Canadian bank account or bank draft In favour of the institution or written assurance from your local bank in Nigeria confirming that the funds are in deposit plus a letter from CBN that you can export this amount) you can satisfy. The last option (written assurance from your bank in addition to a confirmation from the CBN that the said funds can be exported/transfered abroad) seems more realistic to achieve. Again, this last option did not specify that you get an updated bank account from your local bank rather a written assurance (letter). You can request for a 'Bank Letter of Reference/Confirmation of Financial Statement. This letter which can be addressed to CIC talks about your financial strength, character, any obligation you have to bank (indebted or not), your current balance, average daily balance and period you've had your balance in the Bank. Now some banks have a standard template and have the limit to which they can disclose. This letter will very much suffice for the written assurance requested by CIC. On CBN written assurance that you can export the amount stated as available balance in the letter issued by your bank as described above, please go to CBN website and get the circulars sent to all banks which mandates banks to process foreign tuition/school fees payment within 48 hours and also sell PTA to travellers. This shows that the funds can be exported (pay your foreign tuition and living expenses - since it stated that customers can access PTA). I know someone that recently received same request for additional information alongside instruction to proceed on medicals. Like I earlier mentioned guys, I think it's not so difficult a request to process if you understand it along the lines I have provided given that as it applies to your local bank, the individual in question was not asked to provide an updated bank statement but a written assurance (letter). I think it shows that the VO is progressing with the application since it came with a medical mail and would need that additional information alongside your medical result to issue you a study visa. Commit all to God. 5 Likes 3 Shares |

preciousa2: One very important thing to note about the current forex transaction for school fees is that there is a MAXIMUM of USD 15,000 in amount of transaction per term and most bank comply with this directive. I won't be surprise if the request by the embassy for a 'written assurance' that tuition and living expenses will be exported is as a result of this limitation in tuition fees transactions. As we all know, IRCC requires tuition fees for a year not per term. Showing these funds means you can pay for one year tuition and living expenses at a time. Also, more to showing these funds available, applicant(s) must meet these conditions upon which a study permit is approved. I.e if you claim you have funds for tuition and living expenses for one year, you must as well make sure claimed funds is INDEED available for the one year in CANADA. The prevailing circumstances surrounding payment of tuition MAY stall payment of the one year tuition and transfer of funds for living expenses. They probably want to be sure funds for both purposes will be available in canada at the start of applicant's study as claimed by available balance in the SOA presented to the embassy. It's either these funds are already in canada or the bank in nigeria assures the embassy that they will transfer these funds to canada. I would believe that this request is as a result of the recent forex policy because it is actually a new development. |

Hello house Repect to all the gurus! Something is bothering me as I try to gather my documents and submit to vfs in person. I just finished secondary school and I am planning to submit my print out to VFS since the certificate of the O'level result I intend to use ( Nov/Dec GCE 2016) would only be out December this year. Would VFS accept the online print out from me and moreover would Canadian Embassy work with this while they process my application? Many Thanks |

Austinpee4: You're so correct! I believe the Bank Letter of Reference will be very helpful and to a large extent meet the VO's requirement. Some banks though have standard response templates. Either ways, I believe that the content of the bank reference letter would help. Or if the applicant has a canadian bank account, then the bank statement will be fine too. |

Enquiries on Canada Study visa 1. My middle name and first name were mixed up on my international passport e.g Passport shows "Aremu, Hannah Tomi" instead of "Aremu, Tomi Hannah" which is on all my documents from birth. Do I need an affidavit to state that they refer to same person? 2. I have 18 months validity and I require 2 years Visa...Can I go ahead with the application? |

emmsana: You should get a reply from them in 4 weeks. Once you upload the required documents, they start processing your application. They would then send you a conditional letter of acceptance stating that you have to deposit part of your tuition to keep a place in the programe |

Hello My people. I just want to make an enquiry about something from anyone who has an idea. My Question is not for dis forum. But please help if you have any suggestion. My aunt just got a job in canada lastweek, I want to know if it's possible to go with her family. Advice please or if there is a thread for this please let me know. Thanks all. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Nobody: 7:03am On Apr 13, 2017 |
wealth360:Every application on a job offer is an 'immigrant application' either temporary or permanent ..... and it's usually assumed you will relocate with your family. Although, it is not written anywhere that you must go with your family but the forms are designed to give you enough ideas of the opportunities attached therein. So your answer is YES!... As that's one of the routes that can guarantee your relocation with a family.... your only worry should be about the required funding stipulated by CIC for each family member. Regards. |

Hello everyone, I just want to be clear on something as regards my program. My intended program has a co-op placement which is an integral part of the program and a work permit is needed. my question is having applied for my study permit already, am I to apply for a work permit now(while still waiting for my trv) or to wait till I get to canny first? I really dnt understand how this works......hope am not on the wrong? TRV doctors and nurses in the house please help me out. THANKs ToWhom It May Concern: This is to confirm that the above named student has been accepted into a program where a select number of co-op seats are available in the second semester. Acceptance to the co-op stream of the program is based on the student’s grade point average after the first semester and availability of seats within the program. Should the student be awarded a place in the co-op program, work term(s) are an integral part of the program. The work term(s) is related to the student’s program of study and must be completed in order to graduate. PROGRAM NAME: Computer Application Security PROGRAM START DATE: 2017-01-09 PROGRAM COMPLETION DATE: 2017-08-18 NUMBER OF WORK TERMS: 1 TOTAL NUMBER OF HOURS: 420 Due to work permit processing times and tight timelines upon acceptance into the co-op stream, a co-op work permit is required.
