I wish Buhari could be allowed to use the remaining years of his administration as a military ruler just to handle these corrupt individuals.

I didn't support any criminal, I meant don't focus your fight against corruption from one angle of the country. Let EFCC do a holistic job by arresting and probing criminals from other regions. TINUBU for instance owns dozens of multi million dollar properties scattered all over the country and abroad so like wise other polithiefcians .

Exactly, 50 Million dollars x 400 (black market rate) = 20 Billion Naira in the hand of one wicked criminal, lets assume we have 50 of such big thieves harboring such huge amount of money, multiply that by 50 , that is 20 billion Naira x 50 persons holding such amount of money >>50 Million Dollars ), you will know the havoc these vampires have done to Nigeria angry angry

Nigerians deserve the set of leaders she has, a country where no one asks how u made your money but quickly celebrate u regardless of the source. ..a country where those who were nothing upon assuming public office bcom millionaires and we don't bother. ..a country where hard work is a crime but cutting corners is fashionable. ..so please don't ask God why, it's very obvious.

When it comes to stealing gigantic amounts of money, men can never compete with women for the sheer enormity of motivating greed. Virtually every woman who finds herself in Nigerian public office wastes no time in stealing on an industrial scale, like there is no tomorrow. Perhaps the cultural reluctance of successive Third World governments to apply the full weight of criminal law against women has become the primary motivating factor that removes all inhibitions normal criminals may feel when confronted with new opportunities to steal, or perhaps women are simply programmed to steal by eons of evolution. Regardless of the root cause of this innate greed, its devastating effects on national economies cannot be denied.

Where that feminine greed and kleptomania arises, will for now remain a matter of speculation, but one need only look at the roll call of Nigerian women who came, saw, and plundered, in order to better understand this unique and disturbing phenomenon.

From disgraced former oil minister Mrs. "Frog Eye" Madueke who pocketed BILLIONS of US greenback dollars belonging to the Nigerian people, to Mrs. Etete of the zillion dollar bullet-proof car fame, to this hideous looking female kleptomaniac feverishly stockpiling and stashing kilograms of hard currency like firewood for an Alaskan winter, MOST women who smell big money NEVER hesitate to steal as much of it as they can, right away, EVEN IF the consequences of that reckless greed are patently obvious to everyone blessed with a functioning brain.

NEVER entrust a female with big money, because if you do make that fatal blunder, that cash will vanish into thin air so quick it will make your head spin.

Kufis to whoever came up with the whistle blowing idea. It's the best thing to have happened to the ongoing ear on corruption.

When sanusi lamido, the emir of Kano and the first whistle blower in the history of Nigerian civil service cried fowl in the affairs of nnpc and missing billions of dollars, when our clueless president who only signs papers without cross-checking was still in power, madam okonjo, diezani and their boss gej attacked him that he's lying. They kept presenting doctored audited accounts to him in order to prove him wrong. Now, the man has been vindicated, given all that had been playing out in recent times from the former GMD's stashed millions of dollar in a kaduna village, to this innocent-looking lady's home made forex bank. This is just a tip of the iceberg, compared to many more of such, stashed everywhere in the country. No wonder the NA kept saying they don't want magu. Whether they like it or not, the appointment of magu remains. It doesn't matter if the NA confirms him or not. The president could use his executive order, just the way the NA could use their veto power on Mr president on certain matters, if he refuses to approve their requests. No wonder this country has always remained stagnant. They prefer their homes to keeping money to the banks, especially since the BVN regime came into effect. Millions of Nigerian youths are out there, looking for job that's not even available. These are the people denying them their benefits as nigerians. I'm still waiting for the prosecution of that former finance minister. PDP had every opportunity to rewrite Nigerian history but they messed up big time. More of this will still be discovered. This woman must be made to spend the rest of her life in jail. Ole!

And here I have been, asking how Nigeria's reserves were obliterated from over $60bn to $30bn even at a time the nation enjoyed unprecedented income boom. Meanwhile this is just the tip of the iceberg, there are still over 1000 people both in the current leadership and outside with public funds like this stashed in different parts of the country. It will take forever to weed these people and the funds out.

And the saddest part of all these is that we have multitude of Nigerians who also suffer the economic hardship and dilapidated infrastructure, but whenever issues like this are reported, they feel an urge to sgow solidarity to their own oppressors.

This your comment is sentimental and tribalist, for me, anyone that stole should face the wrath of law, corruption is a merciless demon that has no tribe.

My dear, you need to understand there is a way the world works. The best time those people you named could have been probed was in the past, soon after they left govt, and the probe could only have been done by the opposing govts. No matter how serious any govt may want to portray itself as in the corruption fight, you realistically can't expect a dog to eat it's own legs.

Amaechi, Tinubu and co should have been probed by jonathan, bit he chose to look the other way while everyone plundered. Expecting the current govt now to probe itself, that's very naive thinking.

Anything government - Federal, State or Local - whether it's Presidency, CBN, NTA, NNPC, NDDC, Customs, Immigration, Armed Forces and so on - and these are only Federal - not to talk of 36 States + FCT and 774 Locals within them. Forget it. They're all thieves.

However, Madam Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue has been found guilty of the 11th commandment in the court of public opinion - "Yes, we know that y'all are corrupt, crooks and thieves but ...

Thou shall not get caught".

We need to know the role of okonjo iweala in all these nonsense. How come this amount of money is stolen and Iweala never followed up.

These are the people we would have been respecting and thinking they made their money via legitimate means. You see them using cars worth 50 million and you are tempted to ask which kind of work they are doing.
