In African social heirachy, men are generally regarded as superior to women. I'm sorry I don't know the politically correct term, but that's what it boils down to. Women defer to their husband, but women accept themselves to be under men. That's why I'm so amused at most modern day girls, they have a warped view of man-woman relations, combining the most favorable aspects of African and Western cultures. Its high time Nigerian girls decide if they want the African treatment or Western treatment, you can't enjoy the benefits of both worlds

Personally I don't know why you ladies have a problem with the system. A man is raised to believe that he's only a man when he protects and provides for women, treat them gently and sacrifice for them. What kind of eye do you expect such men to use to look at women? You expect them to view them as equals when we're taught never to raise our fists to them as we would with other men and pamper them physically and emotionally? I said I wasn't going to reply you but honestly you are my first Aggresive Sexist. Actually you are the first sexist am meeting. I think other sexist can intelligently pass their point without being so insulting. See Women and Men can NEVER be equal. Never. If they were that would just question the purpose of their existence. They both have their strengths. They are meant to be partners(they complement each other) for the betterment of humanity.
It's hard to know exactly how to respond to a sexist comment. Cream molten, none is superior or inferior to each other. Men dominate because they can but I can say confidently that if the role were reversed in a generation or two, women would do the same.
There are girls out there that actually depend on guys but I need you to drop that thought that they constitute the majority of Nigerian girls.
