Folaroyal:

Every application on a job offer is an 'immigrant application' either temporary or permanent ..... and it's usually assumed you will relocate with your family.
Although, it is not written anywhere that you must go with your family but the forms are designed to give you enough ideas of the opportunities attached therein.
So your answer is YES!... As that's one of the routes that can guarantee your relocation with a family.... your only worry should be about the required funding stipulated by CIC for each family member.
Regards.

Baba greetings thanks a lot for the answer. And again thanks. For the flight contact. Olamide is such a darling. Flight booked. God bless you.

If it's a course with a duration of not more than 6 months then it's possible otherwise i will assume it's an oversight the VO(the only possible logical conclusion). There is no need to argue over this as time will be the best judge as to whether or not he is lying grin grin grin .

Hello Eraytee. I think r4blessing has already posted the content of the letter. This is a request for additional information. And if you look at what r4blessing posted as the content, so you need to determine which of the three options provided (Canadian bank account or bank draft In favour of the institution or written assurance from your local bank in Nigeria confirming that the funds are in deposit plus a letter from CBN that you can export this amount) you can satisfy. The last option (written assurance from your bank in addition to a confirmation from the CBN that the said funds can be exported/transfered abroad) seems more realistic to achieve. Again, this last option did not specify that you get an updated bank account from your local bank rather a written assurance (letter). You can request for a 'Bank Letter of Reference/Confirmation of Financial Statement. This letter which can be addressed to CIC talks about your financial strength, character, any obligation you have to bank (indebted or not), your current balance, average daily balance and period you've had your balance in the Bank. Now some banks have a standard template and have the limit to which they can disclose. This letter will very much suffice for the written assurance requested by CIC.

On CBN written assurance that you can export the amount stated as available balance in the letter issued by your bank as described above, please go to CBN website and get the circulars sent to all banks which mandates banks to process foreign tuition/school fees payment within 48 hours and also sell PTA to travellers. This shows that the funds can be exported (pay your foreign tuition and living expenses - since it stated that customers can access PTA).

I know someone that recently received same request for additional information alongside instruction to proceed on medicals.

Like I earlier mentioned guys, I think it's not so difficult a request to process if you understand it along the lines I have provided given that as it applies to your local bank, the individual in question was not asked to provide an updated bank statement but a written assurance (letter).

I think it shows that the VO is progressing with the application since it came with a medical mail and would need that additional information alongside your medical result to issue you a study visa. Commit all to God.

what if one has paid school fee for one year, accommodation fee for one full semesters and declared up keeps for one year. Will the person need the letter from the bank and so forth ......?

Thanks @thesoj. I will trim to about three pages
Hope it would be okay to send to you for review?
Thank you

thesoj:
I would in general absolutely not recommend having an SOP that is more than two pages long.

Hmm, yes my bro's SOP was three pages with 1.5 spacing. Which is actually two pages in single spacing.
I felt that his SOP was long, but he was a very complex applicant (no formal job & no funds of his own for the previous three years) and there was a lot to explain. Also, it was written in a way that was very professional and absolutely enjoyable to read.

A 15-page SOP will definitely not be read by the VO. An SOP that long means that you have not been able to distill your explanations into the most concise form possible.

How long did it took. I am hoping there is still slot for my course interactive design. Though it is started in the international website that it's still open.
Can you also help me with the direct international number? I need to know the exact fee for the course because it not stated exactly on the course page

My advise is that people shouldnt be too forward to do this base on the recent development. we should all wait to get the request just as others who got the request from IRCC before stressing on it. its not a difficult request as it would assist your application. just my opinion.

Relax. This is a perculiar issue and it is not applicable to everybody who have applied for a study permit. Beside, there is no update or circular from IRCC to the purpoted recent development. Just follow the normal instruction and meet their requirements. If they need any additional information or document, they will contact you.

Hello Eraytee. First and foremost, you know that this request for additional information was sent to about one or two persons on this platform. It does not mean that it's really a new dimension from CIC as some people outside this platform have received TRVs recently without this additional request. Again, request for additional information is not a difficult thing to obtain safe the CBN letter which is not possible as CBN does not issue such letters to individuals considering that the individual does not have any relationship with CBN and vice versa. CBN deals with Banks directly as such the circular to Banks in this regard will suffice.

To your question, it's important for people to understand the power of letter of explanation. So for such an individual that has already paid tuition and upkeep for one year, please put up a letter of explanation alongside evidence of your payments and then send all to CIC. You can still obtain a Bank Letter of Reference that will show that you still have the funds deposited in your account. Include all. It therefore means that you have done your part and let God perfect the rest.

Maybe the person did upfront medical. apart from that I haven't seen such case for any Nigerian, especially if the duration of the program is above 6 months.... gurus in the house can shed more light on this pls

I have been following the thread for a while now and I appreciate the effort of all the contributors. My wife applied to MUN and her Application status now reads 'Decision made' but no mail was sent to her about the details of the decision that has been made. She has mailed the Secretary to the Departmental Admissions committee but no response yet. Please, I will like to know if there are other people who applied to MUN experiencing the same and if there are other things she can do to know if her admission is successful or not. Thanks.
