I have been wanting to ask this, is it proper for a brother to ask the sister (who looks righteous and chaste) he intends to marry if she's a virgin. I could remember someone asked Ustadh Paiko about this and he replied "she should slap the brother's face" in a lighter mood and everybody laughed. Or what do you think/feel about this? Is it necessary to ask or not to?

I don't think there's anything wrong in that. One of my friends actually wsnted a tear rubber (virgin) as a wife during his quest but as Allah has decreed, he couldn't get. He got something better I think.
Tear rubber is of the slang we use among our brothers in my vicinity for virgins....

someone whose deen is firm. who believes and follow the laws of Allah(swt). someone I can always rely on when I'm at my lowest peak nd vice versa. someone who puts Allah's first in dealing with me. who would help nd encourage me to strive harder. someone who is ready to help raise my kids with me islamically with the help of Allah. A friend, a companion, a brother, a teacher, a lover and husband who understands that Allah comes first.
