Any one who wants war in Biafra or Nigeria or even the world, should buy some data, log on to you tube.. and start watching BBC's coverage of the Civil war... I came across it a while ago, I don't know if it matters that I am Yoruba, but I cried... You cannot wish war on the kids of your enemies, war is crime against humanity...

How old are you? Can you tell us what transpired between Ojukwu and gowon at aburi then? I will be waiting.

I'm sure you call yourself a Christian, yet you lie and fornicate and insult people online. Is that what Jesus Christ taught you in your own Christianity?

The Igbos owe Awolowo a huge debt of thanks. They just don't know it yet. They are blinded by sentiments and misinformation.

I won't hold my breathe though.
Calling awolowo a Christian, what will you call Hitler

both of( you and edudguy) are Childish. You don't take time to read to comprehend before you bulge out your ignorance.

Ojukwu never had the intention to war against Nigeria. Even after the pogrom of 1966, he was interested in unifying the two regions by ordering the Igbos to go back and start up life in Nigeria.

He(Ojukwu of blessed memory) knew he has no military power to fight Nigeria had to negotiate with Gowon at Aburi (Aburi Accord).

Gowon rejected the agreement( after he has signed and agreed with Ojukwu based on the agreement) days after.

Ojukwu declared plainly "on Aburi I stand"
Aburi-Accord is not about Biafra, is about running Nigeria through Confederacy.

Ojukwu never shot the first bullet, he never moved his army to fight Nigeria.
The war came to him and he had to defend himself.

I know this thread was opened to appeal to the senses of Biafra supporters (which I know it has) but let's look at this... war has no winner, both sides will be losers... I know Ojukwu saw the war as the only option (at that time) because of the progroms.. The military government was indifferent to what was going on..... but that war claimed lives... property worth millions were lost.... I am sure if Ojukwu had a rethink he would have considered other options other than war.... that's why I kind of feel sorry when people say : Biafra or War? Do they really know what war is? Do they think war is heroism? They haven't experienced war before.... just the pictures above makes me sick..... Nigeria has a big problem; a very big problem but violence is not the answer; it will never be..... We must sort out our problems..... Now, I know people will come for my head but I don't care It's the truth anyway...Now you'll see the two tribes insulting each other.. just wait they are coming... I am an Igbo man by the way
Dont talk like a fool. Did Ojukwu start any war? It was Nigeria and Gowon that started the war. It was far incumbent on Gowon as head of state to prevent war than Ojukwu.

Gowon should not have declared war without first giving dialogue a chance. How you go to kill those you claim are your brothers without giving peace a chance first?

Gowon broke the Aburi agreement
Gowon ordered 'Police action'
Gowon declared war

Gowon caused the civil war all for access to Oil money

what will you benefit if pmb happens to defeat Biafra?
what are you benefiting from Biafra that since 100years you and your fore-fathers are not yet satisfied?

Biafra has been in existence before amalgamation and I think we should part after 100years. What's keeping it so long?

Biafra has always been the source of blessing to nigeria. From coal(1903) to oil. Haven't they tried?

Is it a crime to let them become your President?
If Igbo's are finding it hard to become the President of nigeria, I wonder if Benin will ever smell aso-rock?

To me I prefer joining Biafra than staying in Nigeria what do you think...lol

what exactly are you saying? Did Ojukwu take the war to Nigeria or Nigeria brought war to Biafran land? did Ojukwu start the war? all he did was what anyone would do when your own is being killed in numbers unstoppable anywhere they are spotted in a country they say belong to us and you know killing of your own has been legalized what would you do? Tell me! now you are talking of looking for a solution to Nigeria problem what do you think that soliution is? we have been looking for it and the quest resulted into the war that claimed over about 20% of Ndi-Igbo, 57 years today since the independce we're still looking a solution to the problem of Nigeria.

Do you know you have even made bigger fool of yourself? Killing of Igbos around every Conner of Nigeria came even before the war, that was the actual reason Igbos said they are no longer interested in Nigeria and nothing else.

Any sensible and well thinking will not only appreciate this thread, but use it as an opportunity for sober reflection. I may detest nnamdi kanu and his ipob minions, but what happened in the nigerian civil war was unfortunate. Even if we try to justify the civil war, the events leading to the war was pure genocide. Killings from one region on another was out of envy and tribalism. we are still groping in the dark because of this dark period. The civil war should never have happened..there was no victor there, the vanquished were the collective nigeria. This hurts men.

On point boss! seems this new generation is hell bent on war....my dad fought in that war and had sleepless nights because of the horrors he saw. my fellow youths dont pray to witness war, I grew up in kaduna where sectarian/religious crisis is the other of the day...a crisis of one day causes so much havoc that it will take years to recover. Please Nigerian youths (mostly the ones from the major tribes ) shun this blame game of who is wrong or whos right . We suppose to live better lives than our fathers, not continuing their hate in these times . #NOTOWAR
No body is bent on war, all we are asking for is lets go our separate ways, In all sincerity has this Nigerian Union worked for your people? just be sincere
