Projectile, something that fire up, moves in a parabolic path like an ellipse/curve. It simply goes up and when it does come down, it's on a different location.

Example; thrown stones, bullets, spear, etc.


It's dynamics and kinematics are more technically analyzed in O level physics. It is a topic on its own.
