It fell from the table and started showing white screen only from the time of booting up.. I can't see anything displayed.. What can I do, what could be the problem. |

OP, before you conclude that you need to replace your laptop screen, I'll advise you to carry out one thing. And the thing I want you to do is that you should get a flat screen monitor to confirm whether all will be okay after you change the screen of your laptop. If you check all the ports on your laptop, you should see VGA port among them. Please, connect any flat screen monitor to that VGA port (on your laptop) and power on the flat screen monitor and then your laptop that's showing white screen. Note: if nothing still shows on that flat screen monitor, just hold down 'Fn' key (close to 'ctrl key' and then press 'F4' key on your laptop keyboard until you see something display on the flat screen monitor that you connected to the laptop. I suspect the screen may be damaged. That is the most probable issue. It could be the RAM too. |

Tosinex:My laptop was showing only black some weeks back. I repaired it for N8500 - the laptop repairer changed the screen. If you have a cable that can connect it to a monitor or HD TV, you can know it the computer still works and it is just the screen that is the problem. Or do you hear the sound of windows booting when you on your computer? If yes, then it is only the screen that is the problem. 1 Like |

Bro. Sorry about your laptop. Two things could be the issue. 1. The Flex cable is pulled/damaged (Which can be changed for little to nothing) 2. The screen is damaged I won't advise you to change the screen rather, get a new or fairly used laptop. - Oshe 1 Like |

This might sound ridiculous and it probably is but I have found that a little heartfelt prayer works wonders in reviving my laptop whenever it starts acting funny. But then again, I have everything in that device backed up in the clouds and external hard drive so I am quite willing to wait for God's answer first. 1 Like 1 Share |
