It is unfortunate we need laws that make Dads take care of their children.

Both Parents have that responsibility.

However, most cultures have traditionally delegated child care to the mother.

I think that is fine. The only problem is that we don't appreciate that this is work and women are mostly left with that burden.

Imagine if you employed a nanny for your baby, you will pay for that care.

So, if the child care responsibilities are mostly being handled by one parent, the other parent also has to be responsible in some way.
