What wrong did the op do? Do you expect the op to climb and rescue the electricity official when you and I know he would be ill equipped at that moment and probably not have any training whatsoever to embark on such a rescue mission? From the picture you can see that the person who brought the corpse down is probably trained to climb as you can see from his regalia.

It's easy to survive fire outbreak than to survive electrocution/electric shock. It's straight to the heart.

That's why a proper risk assessment /job hazard analysis needs to be done, communicated and understood before embarking on such task/activity/operation.

However, this unfortunate incident should be investigated to prevent reoccurrence.

The accident report must be documented and recommendations implemented.

May his soul rest in peace.

My brother eh, even to now get the dead man's body down is still an archaic process, there was a story that made fp some years back about how one electrician died on the pole and another went to get his body down and also got electrocuted to death
They should be using all those elevatable platforms for this work na not standing on ladder and then hugging pole when it feels like u will fall.
All i can say is rip to the man and comfort for his family

How did he climb.? I see no ladder. What a loss. I think it is high time they switch off supply from the station before embarking on this kind of repairs. It is getting much these days. The electric supply has improved in many areas. They need good communication gadgets to communicate to those at the station so that something like this can be avoided. Rip to the man.
