You are right about The sweet synergy between Gabby Jesus and Neymar..... and yes it beats coutinho and Firmino combo.... I have watched Brazil enough to know this is true. We all watch EPL already so... no need.

But about Coutinho not being a regular... I disagree kinda.... coz when he is fit, Coutinho have always started alongside Gabby Jesus and Neymar in a dynamic front three.

The trio of Coutinho, Neymar and Gabby J is Brazil's first choice front line right now....

It is Douglas Costa, Willian and Firmino that sits on the bench currently for this trio...

In recent games even when Gabby J was injured, Coutinho still kept his place alongside Neymar... someone else had to take Gabby J's place.

Xzbit91:

Have you watched Gabriel when he's in Brazil colors?

The understanding and rhythm he strikes with Neymar is far beyond what coutinho and Firmino have going.

You also seem to forget coutinho is just finding his feet with Brazil, he's not a regular yet.

Firmino and Coutinho work day in day out at Liverpool, you must factor that in your argument.

Neymar and Jesus will be facing more solid teams in Russia than they faced at the Olympics. The World Cup is a different ball game trust me.

Coutinho and Firmino combo is more tried, tested and trusted playing for Liverpool in the Premiership with Champions league football in view next season. It will be interesting to watch them Light up the world cup.

Yes it took a while before Brazil recognised Coutinho's talent but he has grabbed his chance with both hands over the past 2 years. There's always a time for everyone to shine. This is his time and he's been proving to be dependable so far.

I get your argument but I just want you to know, it not gonna happen. As long as Gabriel keeps drawing the O'phenomeno comparison.

BTW, Gabriel has already nailed the starting berth in Brazil national team. He's played a few games, so it's not just the Olympics I'm talking about sire

What I mean by regular is someone who is guaranteed 70-90 min on the pitch each and every game. Willian may start ahead of him, or he'll be taken off at 60min or less.

BTW he's also lost his magic touch of recent

I marvel at your analysis sometimes

son...simply went for his leg and not the ball...
if son had touch the ball with his feet it would have been different... I guess u know more than the commentators and analysts

u first said..alli was just ordinary all through the match...his ball control bla bla was poor..
same alli I watched today played well..he was so deadly upfront

your analysis is ridden wit sentiment I think

Sentiments for who? Chelsea or Tottenham. Alli was ordinary. Deadly ke. He took a good chance but failed to create chances for Kane. Kane was virtually stranded up front.

Same Alli you watched does not count. I have told you Alli gave the ball away. Failed to control the ball repeatedly. Although he made a brilliant control and put the ball through the legs of a Chelsea defender. Apart from that, a run and the goal, he was not special. He was ordinary.

As for the penalty. Moses went to the ground before the contact. That is the definition of diving in football. Going down before being touched. Watch the replay. You will See Moses went down before the contact. It is not a penalty. Diving.

Against Argentina, he started.

Against Peru, he started.

Against Uruguay, he started.

Against Paraguay, he also started.

These are Brazil's last four WCQ (competitive) games.... and Coutinho started all.

Before the Argentina game, if I check if he was available for the period they played Venezuela and beat them 2-0, It is also possible that he started (I didnt see that particular game).

Coutinho have been a regular of late for Brazil and scoring cracking goals from the edge of the box too....

I have explained earlier why Jesus is starting ahead of Firmino. The Brazilians don't consider Firmino high profile enough, owing to the fact that he played for a small club before leaving for Germany. He was unknown in his country so to speak, while Jesus on his part played for the famous Palmerias and he was properly packaged with the Brazilian way of hype for Europe.
I posted a link to that earlier.

By the way, Firmino started the last 2 qualifiers against Peru and Uruguay. He was pretty solid with his combinations with Coutinho - Neymar - Paulinho. Especially his combo with Coutinho.

More than playing for a small club is the style of the two players.

You seem not to be getting my point. Brazilians are having a serious nostalgia with Gabriel. They're relishing the prospects of him being a Ronaldo v2.0. Gabriel's style is your typical Brazil no9, and Brazil will not throw that away except of course he flatters to deceive

Arsenal Give Their Blessings To The Transfer Of Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid Target Omidiji

Premier League club Arsenal have given their blessings to the transfer of American-born Nigerian striker Lateef Omidiji Jr to Eredivisie powerhouse Feyenoord, allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed.

The 13-year-old courted interest from other top teams in the Netherlands, including Sparta Rotterdam, Ajax Amsterdam and PSV, before he agreed terms with Feyenoord.

The Gunners have already negotiated with Omidiji's representatives, have a black and white agreement in place, and expect the deal to go through after he reaches the age of majority.

Arsenal will continue to monitor his progress in the Netherlands and the youngster will train with their youth teams this summer.

Omidiji Jr can play as a target man, attacking midfielder and winger, and his versatility is one of the reasons all the top clubs in Europe are queuing up for his signature.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Anderlecht among others had been in touch with the player's agent and have vowed not to relent in their push for a future transfer.

The likes of Robin van Persie, Solomon Kalou, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Georginio Wijnaldum and Jeffrey Bruma were developed by Feyenoord before they moved on to pastures new, and Omidiji is expected to join that list.

On the Pk awarded to Moses, I go with the analyst it was a very clever move by Moses, he saw the legs of Son, he push the ball away from Son, Son had no contact with the ball bt Moses leg. Most intelligent n clever players like suarez, hazard or Ronaldo will go down easily knowing Son just fail to their trap. A very clever move.

spot on....

Russians will never tolerate that..
they just wanna run the young man's future.
such a pity...he will have to leave the league if he really wanna play for Nigeria

People are a product of thier environments.

This guy was born in Russia, went to school in Russia everything he has ever known is Russian. His mindset will be Russian. You know when have been abused for so long you think it's normal. Because you do not know any better or have any other contrary life experience. Everything around him will be Russian, it's not like London where you have Nigeria in London.

Has he ever been to Nigeria? Lived for some time
in Nigeria? He will not leave because he is now institutionalised into being Russian.

Consider Odemwingie who described Russia as the most racist place in the World. Why He had lived in Nigeria he could see the difference. As. Soon as he could he left.

I think Idowu should be left alone to love his Russian land and people.

We could have defeated Senegal 3-1.Nacho missed two good chances .Moussa sow's goal shows that he is a regular player for his club. The difference b/w the 2017 SEs and those of 2014 WC is Competition. We are lacking that competition in Nacho's position and that of Echiejile. If a competitive and regular no 9 is invited .I think Nacho will make a move to another club.Let's look at Tammy and "try" Onyekuru. The earlier the better for Nacho. If not after helping us secure WC ticket. He might have to start as a substitute. He has the talent of being a deadly No 9 but needs game time to develop it.From what I observed against Senegal,if he continues this way another star will rise or be invited for him to start from the bench. Also,we can sub him to try other versatile players like Onyekuru.By the time Onyekuru steps up and scores as a Sub.Nacho will now realize his position is under threat. After what he did against Senegal we should have someone to sub him.Pls before commenting go to YouTube and watch the "full" match against Senegal. If Moussa Sow were in Nacho's shoes he will score those two nacho missed considering his goal.We had and created more chances than the Senegalese team.

The very first time i m gonna disagree with you.

A typical full back would have square played the ball, same thing SON tot moses was going to hence the slide tackle.

Moses knew he was going to slide, so he made sure he got the ball first, then slowed down for a contact.

Yes, the contact was minimal n soft, and yes 99.9% ref wud fell for it.

I wud rather praise Moses for his fast thinking than castigate him for the fall.

Aguero who plays regular sometimes miss up to five chances in a game. Messi misses three to four clean chances too. From CR7, to Neymar to Bale or Eto'o, they have all had bad days.

Moses played SON and he fell for it..
Had it been there was no contact, your argument wud ve stayed..
