The death of Jesus was prophesied by the prophets but there was no time it was prophesied that Some would have to betray him to die. If Judas didnt betray Him he would have died all the same. Judas only made himself part of tge killing because of greed. Other ppl you mentioned repented but Judas never did. He felt sober though but he spoilt the whole show by killing himself. Probably if he didnt commit suicide the gospel would have been a little different. Like per adventure "And when Judas became sober and came to his senses of the gravity of what he did. He went under a Fig tree and wept sore. He knelt down and looked towards heaven and Said Oh Lord forgive me for I gave myself over to satan to be used against you and at the spot the Lord appeared and touched him on the shoulder and said Judas Judas your sins are forgiven" May be something like that would have been part of the gospel we read today. But he fumbled by killing himself without proper repentance. May I tell you something he has condemned himself already. |

zionmade:I think you missed the part where the OP says it was predestined for Judas to act in the way he did. I think your grudge should be with the director/scriptwriter of the movie not the actor. |

FearFactor1:Isn't the suicide part of what god had predestined? |

Jdougha:You started strongly but ended emotional. Nobody is saying whether Judas is a hero or not here, people are only trying to draw attention to the fact that he was used to fulfil a divine mandate. You said the Pharisees could have gone to any of the other Eleven, if they did, the same fate would have befallen them, giving our judgemental nature. What about those that nailed him to the cross? The ones that pierced his side? The ones that battered him? What about the Pharisees themselves? My brother, we were all irredeemable sinners until Christ died to save us all, so it could have been anybody. Lastly, the part where you said you pray I don't end up where Judas is, I beg to know if you know where Judas is? If you do, was it revealed to you? Or he stood before you in judgement? Good day n happy Sunday |

Chiedu4Trump:Hahaha... First of all why must you IPOBians always attach South South to your misplaced and misguided priorities... Can't you stake your claims without being parasitic?... Secondly I am in the South East for some weeks now, Enugu to be precise, and I don't see all these IKPOB brouhaha I see on Nairaland anywhere in Enugu... The other day I even saw a giant poster of PMB and PYO somewhere along Government Road and I was like wow... I have been mistaken all along, IKPOB is actually more alive on the pages of the Internet than on the ground... And you my friend doesn't really know what you want... One moment you were religious accusing someone who gave you an avenue to express your opinions of religious bias, next moment you have jumped to tribalism... Why must you look for something to give substance to your IKPOB ideology... Anyways I shouldn't be surprised you are mixing the 2,in your world, I am sure you think all Igbos are Christians |

ReubenE:.. He was used to fulfill a divine mandate yes, but also were the pharissees, would you rather be chosen to fulfill a wrong divine mandate... So was Paul, Peter and the rest of the Apostle used too.. So I still don't get your point, and to answer your question on if I know where judas is, I do and that's because I read my bible.. He was termed the Son of Perdition.. |
