Title: kogi state university SUG organises massive protest on April 26th

See what the newly sworn in SUG president posted on his facebook wall earlier today.

Great Nigerian students!
I wish to first of all thank all students and stakeholders of Kogi state University for the continuous support to the Students' Union Government, amidst all the betrayal. The greatest sin against humanity is to thwart the effort of the majority. I really sympathise with you all, and I commend your patience.
Over the past few weeks, a lot has happened. A lot of propaganda has been on social media, a lot of deceit, betrayal, and a lot of lies from our student union leaders. Our leaders have obviously failed.
But as acting SUG president, I am promising every student that this is a new dawn.
We are now going to build the Students' Union Government where your dues count, where your rights are protected and where your common welfare is guaranteed.
Never again will the right and interest of any student of Kogi state university be sold out.
For this short period, we shall from now advocate for proper conditions and treatment from our classrooms to the hostels. We shall advocate for immediate intervention with regards to water and power supply in our school.
From now on, every single naira of the Students' Union Government shall be accounted for.
We have stayed home for too long.
The plight of the students suffering at home for the past three months is my greatest worry.
The ongoing strike is our greatest terror now, and making sure we get back to class as soon possible is our biggest priority right now. This, we shall fight for with all sincerity and diplomacy.
We are already partnering all institutions in the state to have the biggest peaceful demonstration/protest ever. This mega demonstration is slated for Wednesday, 26th April, 2017 at Lokoja, as agreed at the Joint Campus Congress held on 20th April, 2017.
Please debunk any news stating that there will be a protest on the 24th of April. That is another big deceit awaiting.
This is our right and we are not going back on our decision.
I urge every student of KSU to come out and support this peaceful protest.
Once again, I thank all our students for their patience, support and cooperation.
No more Facebook governance.
No more permutation governance.
No more April fooling.
This is the dawn of a new era.
This is the government of the students, by the students, and for the students, ONLY.
Thanks and God bless.
Anthony Edogbo
Ag. SUG President
KSU.

Hmm, since Buhari became president, we were relieved of our freedom of speech. Those protesting, protest in vain, Buhari, once a military leader is still a dictator.

A president that is only concerned about his tribesmen. He has no regard for others. Fulani herdsmen keep on killing innocent people, despite that, there's a secret bill that's being passed in the state national assembly to provide grazing reserves for these killers (ignorant people shouldn't quote me)

My humble advice, just suffer and smile. Save your strength to suffer, for if you exhaust yourself in protest, you'd still suffer.

Abeg, check my signature.

Read how Philips Omepa wants to jeopardize the life of students on 24th of April and how he sold Austin Okai Usman out to the Chief of Staff Kogi State.

Our correspondence have gathered that the just impeached president of Kogi State University Students Union Government is on a N150,000 pay roll of Kogi State.

We took it upon ourselves to dig out the truth after a whistle blower (name withheld) mailed us the plans of the suspended president. In his words "Don't ever trust anyone who fooled a thousands students on April 1st, this is an exclusive warning. I have their plans in my palm, remember the last protest - how Philips disappeared from the scene leaving the students stranded? It took me wisdom to instruct the pilot to move the SUG coaster bus out of the scene. Yeah, Philip is that wicked".

"Now, the plan is that Philip will raise an alarm that hoodlums attacked him and that he lost contacts with NANS."

NANS president have been contacted but he has denied knowledge of the 24th protest while NANS Senate president said that his signatures where forged to invite members of the public to a protest on 24th of April.

We can as well confirm that the numbers on the press invitation are fake too.

The whistle blower said "he will claim to have lost contacts with the NANS on Sunday, but will be on ground for the 24th protest"

"Arrangements have been made by Philip Omepa Shaibu that few minutes into the assumed protest the State Security (SSS) will come and whisks him away, framing an arrest and so the students will be destabilized and confused on what else to do amidst gun shots.

Just in: Philip Omepa Shaibu sold out Austin Okai Usman location to the Chief of Staff of Kogi State. Austin Okai Usman is the mouth piece of the opposition in Kogi State, to cover up his tracks Omepa posted a carton paper with the inscription ReleaseAustinOkai in 24hours or kill and arrest. We where all paid N600,000 each for it.

We will bring you more of this news as events unfold.
