hello, sometimes people are blind by what they hear or feel about a place. In Mauritius life is far better than in South Africa, Ghana etc. Mauritius is a place where ONLY those who are serious with their future can go to build a good future. As a student in Mauritius you can get job that will feed you, cloth you and accommodate you also to a large extent you can send small money to some of your friends in Nigeria. Everything in life is dependent on an individual. life is too good in Mauritius that Nigerians forget where they are coming from and eat all the got withing few days. Girls plenty here, i mean beautiful girls and they like flexing with Nigerians, in quest to please them some Nigerians will spend their blood to please them. there are British schools here, there are Malaysian schools also. After graduation getting a bigger and better job is very easy with a better certificate. My school here, gave me the opportunity to do my industrial training for six months in Malaysia. and if you do well while on training, you can be retained. Travelling to other countries from Mauritius is 80% possible as a student, if and only if you have all the required documents for your travel. While in Nigeria with all your documents intact the chance is still slim for you. The school here will write to embassy telling them you want to spend your holiday in whichever country and once you have the money for it, visa is given to you. but some Nigerian have still come with their dubious life. most people where caught doing drugs here. last month. This might cause another thing for innocent Nigerians.

Some of you in Nigerian, you have even done with your first degree and that degree is not used even in Nigerian because there are no jobs then you cannot use it out Nigeria because the certificate is as good as ordinary paper. and years are going, why not help yourself by being focus in life and stop this get rich today and die tomorrow life. If you decide to marry in Mauritius, good and fine but you must be a good person before a Mauritian girl will want to have you as a husband. because that name Nigeria rings bell to every ear and you all know that. In South Africa no jobs, I mean no jobs at all, visiting South Africa from Here is like going to Cotonu from Lagos .If you have money to establish business here good and fine. In a nutshell here is for those who really want to meaningful with their life. Gamblers . if you want to gamble with your life. Come today become rich tomorrow abeg try Europe or America.

The air fare varies from airline to airline. The two major airline that lifts people to Mauritius are South African Airways and Emirate. SA airways is way cheaper and i'll suggest it. The last time i paid 200k for a return ticket which was way too cheap in my opinion. I was just lucky. But you should budget 250 to 300k for a return ticket.

As far as living expenses goes, you should budget 50k for a single room monthly. You can find cheaper ones depending on where in Mauritius you want to live and the quality of the house.

As for feeding, it all depends on you. Food is not that expensive in Mauritius.

Had my honeymoon in Mauritius. It's a beautiful island. Meet a few Nigerians. What I can say is that the place is not a place to hustle. It's mainly for tourism and the people are happy to take your money. The residents are mainly of India descent so I can understand the racism. Though I didn't experience any, maybe because we were tourist and they actually thought my wife and I were South Africans.

international passport, Book and pay for hotel, book your flight, have at least $100 to spend for day. At lagos airport, those immigration will try to get something from you as soon as they know where you are going to, at Mauritius airport the immigration will call the hotel to confirm if you are staying there and also ask if you are having enough for your stay, lobatan. I spent two weeks there July 1-15th

Here are few pics taken in Mauritius.

The name does not ring a bell but i trekked the length and breadth of every shoreline on that flic en flac stretch. That's probably where you have mostly white tourist and those resorts.

seriously I can't remember the names, maybe because its French, I went to the nature park where there are motor bikes you can drive to see the colorful earth, i end up not getting on the bike because it's started raining at the time I got there, I visited the waterfall too, the place I went to frequently is flaque, they've got some big supermarkets there and I love shopping.

Here is the picture of the waterfall.
I only have videos of the nature park

There are Nigerians in Port Louis but you need to look for them. If you really want to see Nigerians, they're in the Plaines Wilhems region. You'll find them in places like Vacaos, Quatre Borne and Beau Basin.

There are no Nigerian restaurants as far as i know. The only one i used to know was in Vacoas and was owned by one Igbo/Liberian guy. But i think he closed down because the patronage wasn't much. Though, i've not really toured the nooks and crannies of Port Louis, you may never know. There may be a few Nigerian restaurants there.

Btw, is the break you're taking the one that is as strong as stone?
