What about the Jungle boots that can't be amended?

I was given a size 46 with my small size 40 leg.
Even jungle boots were amended during my camp days @Iseyin Oyo State.
They did it by adjusting the fabric on the boot (if it is correct to describe it that way).

Yes it's true especially in states with high cost of living such as Port Harcourt. I served recently @ Rivers PH and I experienced the same. Those camp trader are really extorting money from corpers. Govt. Should do something to it

Dear Nigerians, instead of standing and making noise about a particular leader, why not stand for there achievement while in office? For example, I stand with the wonderful hospital built by A. I stand with the second Niger bridge built by B. I stand with onitsha -enugu road built by C. I stand with Port Harcourt international airport built by D. I stand with the factories and industries built by E..... ETC ETC ETC.
we're just wasting time standing with the people that have made life miserable for us. With our wealth and resources, Nigeria is supposed to be a wonderful country.

NYSC orientation camp is one of the places where unionism is bad. The exorbitant cost of resizing of corpers uniform in camp is as a result of the strong unity amongst the tailors in camp.

All of them unanimously agree on a particular price and they stick to it. But in my time, i was lucky to do mine at just 400naira. I came to camp very early and was among the first people to get the uniform. I immediately ran to mammy and luckily met one female tailor that was just setting up her table.

I pleaded and pleaded before she now agreed to do it for 400naira, but on the condition that i wont tell anybody. Lol.

The tailors know that everybody must wear the khaki uniform on the oathe-swearing day and that we all will want to look good on the uniform and snap that one picture that will adorn our sitting rooms at home.

So after that oathe-swearing day, they will even be begging u to come and resize your uniform for just 300naira.

The trick is, go to camp early and be among the first people to get their unifornm and resize or manage your uniform like that till after oathe-swearing day

So, I just came across a post on @nigeriancorpers on Instagram asking corpers how much they spent amending their NYSC uniform in camp, and the answers are surprising.

To think that NYSC usually ask them to fill in the their sizes before camp. What's the essence of asking if they won't provide the perfect sizes?
Most of them amended their uniforms for as high as N1500!!! Check out their reactions...

Camp is one of the place where people are exploited the most. In Kano that year, unsuspecting Corp members were snapping 4copies of passport for 1500. Reduction of khaki was btw 1000 and 1500. Photocopying and other unnecessary things too are cash drainers.

Kano camp is a stupid place to be. They look at how rich you before calling price for you. I adjusted only my trouser for 5h and after the swearing in. I adjusted my jacket for #100h.

Imagine how much money the government spends on this uniform to kit up millions of graduates across the country for an initiative that failed ages ago.

I received my khaki around 12:30am of inauguration day. I deferred all odds to go to Mammy market to amend my trousers that early morning. I was told to come back Day break with payment of 1K5.

Day break, I rushed there.. The man amended rubbish. Didn't even shape it well. It was too long and still bogus.

Nawa for those tailors!
