While Pensioners, teachers and Local government workers in Kogi haven't been paid in months! Mercy Johnson's salary is going to be promptly paid. That's apart from the government contracts she's expected to corner as a political office holder. Sometimes I wonder why We don't have people with the Robin hood mentality in Nigeria. If we did, they would be killing people like Bello and stealing from them everyday.

Young Africans are not articulate when it comes to governance,and the surrounding issues that have to do with power, wealth and management. Ours is a generic brand of emotive weakness, peculiar in all including those in diaspora. Sadly, it doesn't get better with age. It only gets worse. This brings to mind the Darwinian theory that Africans are biologically inferior.

The State is a mess; something of a jamboree of psycho-clismic dysfunction. Nothing was working prior, and to date, nothing is working. IBB was right; the youths are not ready to take up leadership mantles. We are weak, and it doesn't get any simpler than that. Even when power or responsibility is served to us on a Platter of gold, we know not what to do with it.
