Thank you.

Glocal1:
Yes, it's d transcript from d undergraduate institution, sealed and stamped; otherwise, d sch would have stated 'evaluated transcript'.
OGreene:
You can ask the school if you can upload unofficial copy, that is the doc from school you have with you. I did that in my case. Ask!

At this point, you should know the CGPA you'll be graduating with. I think that's the only profile you have now.
I will suggest you forget about GRE till you're finally done. Study as hard as you can for your final exams. Make sure your final year thesis is solid, also cultivate a very harmonious relationship with your supervisor and a couple of other lecturers.
If you have spare time, it is helpful if you also participate in any ongoing research in your faculty.
You can take standardized tests after you get your BSc.

Good evening

Is it possible to have a rejection when a potential supervisor tell you to submit application?

Thank you

Very possible, infact a friend of mine is in that situation right now. A professor ask him to put in for PhD in his department and him being the prospective supervisor. At the end of the whole process the Grad School sent him a letter that they were unable to offer admission bla bla bla bla. So yes it is possible, however this was the case where the Prof. had no funding. I don't know if it will be a free ride when the Prof. have funding.

I got the official offer (Tuition waiver + monthly stipends + 79% health insurance) from UNL yesterday but I'll be turning it down.

Already decided to go with Drexel and UNL's tardiness only strengthened my decision.

Didn't bring this up to make other expectant applicants feel bad. On the contrary, brought it up to show that schools are still typing and sending out admission offers so just hang in there guys, yours will reach you.

It is possible that the professor took someone else over the candidate.
This is not unusual in the admission process.

I took GRE in 2015 and scored 279 which is very low. A high GRE score will help makeup for the 'low' GPA.

Admission will also look more likely and you will also stand a chance at getting funded.

I had to resit for the GRE too and I am glad I did.

If its free application fees, just forget about funding. I don't think they fund. You scores are really low so you need to rewrite GRE and TOEFL. Try to publish your undergraduate research work in a free journal. If possible do a WES evaluation of your result. Finally apply to extremely safe schools cheesy . don't rush things prepare well, if possible aim for fall 2018 so you can blast GRE. I wrote twice too!
Best of luck

Congratulations once again, I am sure it would turn out to be a good decision. I don't think anyone would begrudge you on your offers. If I am right, this is the second time you are applying, it just serve as further proof that perseverance and hardwork is needed.

I am not trying to scare anyone, but when acceptances are posted on the forum, it belies the effort and work that has been put in by the applicants. I am sure you have worked assiduously for this. So, please enjoy it, it is sweet.

Yes, their application is free but then, it also makes the chances of getting admitted very narrow (that does not mean they don't admit). But look at it this way, because their application is free, so many people will apply and the school gets extra picky with admission spots. I applied there as well and didn't get in + I know people who had even better profiles than I did, who also applied and didn't get in. I'm guessing you're shying away from paying application fees and if so, it's not worth it. Apply to as many schools as you can and even Michigan Tech (if you may) but don't bank on Michigan Tech. All the best.

Oh okay. Well, safe schools are relative now oh and apparently not so safe anymore cry. You'd need to have a look at as many schools as possible, then check your profile against the requirements of the school(s) and see where your reach(es) is/are. That will give you an idea of what "your safe school(s)" may be.

hey tuffpuff. sorry about your denial. I believe it will surely end well. You can reapply against fall 2018 if u have a decent profile. According to SirRiddy, make contact with the professor before application and apply EARLY! Early application is also very important! if you have d financial capacity, apply to 2 schools above your profile, 2 schools within your profile and 2 schools below your profile and slot in your application around Sept/Oct....and I believe it will surely end well. If you have d opportunity of rewriting GRE...you can proceed....this is my one cent opinion tho.I believe you can do it!

Thank you very much ridsan4real.
