About your natural hair giving you too much wahala loool. Think that's normal but when the curls and growth and healthiness start popping, you'll feel like a proud mama whose child is now a millionaire (Ok maybe hair and being millionaire are not comparable but you get what I mean )

Hmmm, there's a hairstyle called faux lox or yarn locs, and they aren't permanent. Besides this, if you loc your own hair, it's kinda permanent. "Kinda" b/c once your hair is loc'ed it's difficult to unloc. Again, you can try but it'll be next to impossible not to lose hair, whether you attempt it yourself or get someone to do it for you. The second woman in the picture you posted above has faux locs; she can undo them anytime. But the first woman has locs for real; that is all of her hair -loc'd, and it would be hard to unloc them without loosing hair. Also, if you've 200, 300+ locs on your head it's best to just cut them off and start over over b/c they will take forever to unloc and you will also lose hair, which defeats the purpose of unloc'ing, so it's better to just cut them off.

In fact, I've had enough of my natural hair and need a change, lol. Locs/dreads really are cool.

If you don't like them there're ways to unloc your hair but you will get a lot of breakage and shedding in the process. Sometimes it could be impossible to undo the locs and yes, in that case, the only solution, if you don't want them anymore, is to cut them off and start over. Most black women who loc their hair however, typically stick with it for years, so there's no such thing as not liking them and wanting to cut them off. People who cut off their dreads/locs only do so after years of loc'ing their hair - when they're once again ready for a new change in their life. Though the beginning stages of locs can be uncomfortable, once they start getting longer they look awesome.

I have long and healthy natural hair and this is what I use to keep it manageable.... The hair almost killed me before I discovered this mix

Someone like me has already made up her mind.

Oh man I totally forgot to reply this post .

The thing is my hair has never been this short and it just reaches to my shoulder . My relaxed hair has always been around the 'bra length' or a tiny bit longer than that since I can remember. It has always been very long and thick.

The longer the transitioning hair grows, the more mini chops I do in between but never shorter than shoulder length. I'm pretty pretty sure my head is too big for a short cut loool. Honestly my cheeks look like I stuffed puff puff into them

Did you remove some parts? I remember reading that you think I'm lucky to have curls. To be honest I am happy to have curls but I would have also been happy if I didn't. When I decided to go on this journey, it was because I wanted healthier and longer hair. It wouldn't have mattered if I had 4c hair or 4b hair or 4a hair. For all I care I could have had 1b hair lol. Even though my hair was long it never grew past the bra strap length, which was really annoying. Besides there's sooooooo much you can do with 4c hair. It's the most unique and the 1 which stands out the most.

I don't think I will ever get tired of being natural because it's sth growing out of my scalp if that makes sense. Even if you do locs it's still your natural hair nau. You can't do locs with relaxed hair

Hi Jane

Don't be fooled by any products who claims to make your haur curl. The thing is those products all work the same with a minimal difference. All they can do is capture the already existing curls.
If your hair is very moisturised and is a 4a/4b hair type, it is going to curl If it doesn't curl, then that's probably because it's 4c but you can make it curly yourself. I don't know how long your hair is but you can try doing finger coils, it takes time but will last you 1-2 weeks. If it's long enough to do twists out then you can try it too.
