it's not just about having gay characters, coz every show i choose to watch has them. But the entire basis of that show was to validate those gay people I love to see, if you didn't notice that then you need to do some research.

They are still building up. The old man seems to be the god of war who is trying to get his glory back as there hasn't been anybody worshipping him in a while.

The old gods have been replaced by new gods which includes the tech guy and other modern gods.

So generally, the old gods are trying to get their power back.
