That was the reason I didn't get baptized, when I was 17 the pressure was hot like a stove, my friends were all baptized. Once you are baptized in Jw, you are strapped brother. You have to take whatever they tell you but you can't ask any question in return.

I'm in my mid twenties now, I do things my way so far it is morally right. Don't kill yourself in the organization if you have a doubt about finding the truth. The truth was meant to be found not given. Be a man and man up to what you believe is right.

I don't go out to field service, they can't kill me can they?

Wow! Hmmmmmn. I once had a friend who reason like u dear sis. Today, he loves Jehovan and his organization so much he has plans to take up fulltime ministry. Sis, the choice is urs to make.....even ur folks can't decide for u.
As for me there is nothing I stand to gain in this world. I had rather serve Jehovah and make his heart rejoice and I know u wanna make Jah happy too sis. Jah loves u.

****Modified because I omitted a word that should have given it meaning****
You know depending on how strong their "conscience" is at the time I'm getting married I might not have any one of my family members in attendance. I have left the organization but that's the harsh consequence I must face.

At bolder and you are playing what part LOST SHEEP category kiss

Your quoting of bible didn't reach

Matt 28:19,20 Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations,+ baptizing them+ in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.+ And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things

Go therefore.....was is for a select few.

When Jesus called his discipleswhy did he call them? To become fishers of men

If Jesus preached for 3 years who are to choose what you want as his disciple....is a slave better than his master?

It is a command....its not a choice

And yet this command became more weighty today than in the first century? How many in the first century congregation went out knocking doors even with Jesus' command?

Was Jesus' command, without a choice not there when the Apostle Paul under inspiration said some will be teachers, apostles, evangelists, preachers (eph 4:11-16)

Did the disciple James not have Jesus command in mind when under inspiration, he said in James 3:1
Not many of you should become teachers...knowing that we shall receive heavier judgment

Even the Apostles or any other disciples of Jesus never coerced or pressure other members of the first century to preach. But they did so zealously.

And yet, these were men, disciples and apostles that had direct communication with Jesus and was there when he gave the command.

Again, concerning Eph 4:11-16, If we are to be honest with ourselves, JWs don't really believe these Scriptures fulfil today among Christians. The governing body says all must preach, it does not matter what any other part of the Scriptures says, it became a command, having the force of the law, even when scripturally, even with the apostles on earth, it wasn't applied that way.

Let's me ask you, since it was a command, without a choice, was it not also a command to "baptised them in the name of the father, son and holy spirit" (Mt 28:19). How have you been fairing in respect to that?

Since it was a command without a choice, how many people have you baptised in response to Jesus command? ( Note: I don't mean those you bring to the organisation for them to baptise, I mean those whom you baptise personally, as was practiced in the first century)

Truth is, you can't baptise anyone. You don't have such power even when it was clearly evident that it was clearly practiced in the first century.

Fact is, the organisation chooses which command to follow and which to ignore. The command to preach serves their purpose. The need numbers and their organisation to grow and more money to expand. Then all must preach and bring in contributions. That way, they can support themselves and their large buildings and empire.

Let me ask you again, same Mt 28:20, Jesus continued. "teaching them to observe all the things I commanded you"

Note, observe All the things, not some of the things. Now questions, how do you respond to Jesus command in John 6:53?

When did Jesus command that some will have to eat his flesh and drink his blood whole others will be 'respectful observers'?

Since when did the Bible started teaching that the Great crowd is on earth, because the last time I saw it, it said the Great crowd is in heaven.

When you create a don't quote me button on your post then I'll know you have started to use your brain.

Who told you not to question the faithful and discreet? Are you robot?.....even servants of Jehovah questioned him.

And you ask questions and you're given answers and you say the answers are not correct with no backing argument/point are you not dumb?

Who ever said God is saving people based on religion?

Well you're just a child....when you grow up you'll get sense.

1Cor 3:18,19 18 Let no one deceive himself: If anyone among you thinks he is wise in this system of things,* let him become a fool, so that he may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God, for it is written: “He catches the wise in their own cunning.”+

You're trying to give me an insight but just look how rude you are. Well, it speaks about the person you are and your kind of religion. Who ever opposed them are "in the world" and are only but "a child".

Well thank you but I really don't need nothing from a rude bigot like you.

Read the whole verse below and explain it and tell me what their different roles where in the organization.

Ephesians 4:11-16New International Version (NIV)

11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Even the Apostles or any other disciples of Jesus never coerced or pressure other members of the first century to preach. But he did.
Who told you we coerce anyone?

“When I say to the wicked one: ‘You will positively die,’ and he actually turns back from his sin and carries on justice and righteousness, . . . he will positively keep living. He will not die. None of his sins with which he has sinned will be remembered against him.” (Ezekiel 33:8-16) The Bible tells preachers of the good news: “You will save both yourself and those who listen to you.”—1 Timothy 4:16 It is a matter of life and death, grab that.

Congratulations, your wife is beautiful and you're handsome, she has nice smiles. May Jehovah bless your union.

I'm a witness by the way, my family have strong ties in J.W. But I'm now the black sheep cos I didn't get baptized. Lol

Marriage is God's arrangement, by him it was designed.....Remember our old marriage song? Yeah, Jehovah instituted the first marriage when he made Eve and brought her to Adam. Adam composed the first poem ever....."This is at last, bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh.....now you wont be alone. Follow Jehovah's standard of marriage and it will be success all the way. Care for her spiritually, emotionally and materially. Deal with her with understanding and treat her as you would an egg. I pray she will help you continue doing Jehovah's will. Women of faith are exemplary. Like last night while preparing for the meeting for field service for today (I was the captain) i got confused what to discuss, i have soo many. She helped me choose the topic to prepare and discuss. How happy and grateful i was and i still am for her support which she gave with the biggest of respect and humility.

Jehovah's Witnesses weddings and marriages are deeply rooted with the scriptural standards.

Am may she always be........

Complete it my brother.

PS: The photo where you guys are preaching got my attention got me. I will surely copy that when i'm doing mine.

Congratulations Bro.

I actually knew that you will start with insult and I have seen exactly so. Infact, I just told someone I was conversing with how insulting JWs are in this forum and just again, you simply proof that point.

I will leave you to your conversation.

However, I will say this, apostasy is the abandoning of God's word. The organisation has done that to such a great extent that their sins are massed clear to the heavens.

Please, let me correct one impression.
I don't appreciate your insult.

You are a JWs and definitely, if you are by my door or my field service partner, you wouldn't insult me. You would season your utterances with salt. I actually don't see those attitudes online by most JWs have come in contact with. They are so insulting and rude. So, Please, keep your peace.

Secondly, you can always have your point of views or pov. However, it should not make you think you know all or are too skilled. I have had conversation with many like you and it's only questions that can reveal the depth of your knowledge. But it's something you can't do over the net.

Thirdly, I'm more worried about your attitude. Like the pharisee of Jesus days, your clearly seem to be too proud of yourself. You think you know much that "you will not pamper me, you will hit me hard." maybe you know, maybe you don't. I will not be the judge of that. But I can only advise you, watch your attitude, because like Jesus said, it is those that appears to be babes, the unwise ones that will enter God's Kingdom, not those with the I too know pharisaic attitudes like you.

Finally, I have been neck deep in the organisation. It was only after I started serious Bible study and research that I realise the emptiness of the reasoning that led to my earlier believe. I didn't waste time throwing away those believe and changing my biblical views. So, believe me when I say, I know what you will say before you say it. And I can only use questions to reveal the emptiness of your organisational based reasoning.

I'm too tired. I have had a really busy day. Good night and may God show us all his ways and favour.

Don't be offended but I'll school you anytime any day.

You know what only babies can enter God's Kingdom mean? It means teachable people, people who are ready to be taught by God's word, ready to listen to sound reasoning from his word and not arguing with their selfish, biased, blinded opinions.

Please all the arguments weather for or against should be enough, this thread was intended for showing a coming together of a beautiful couple, that's the reason bizie created this thread.

Please all the arguments to win over Ginaz , StuntingBlack, WORLDPEACE, rottennaija and their crew are not necessary more especially on this thread, we should learn to respect their decision. It is their decision and not yours so don't question it, oh yeah i know you might have the best of intentions, buh what makes you think their parents never had the best of intentions for them also by trying all they could to make them stay tight. To me they are way better than some selected few who might claim to be witnesses but notoriously dont live according to Bible principles at least they made a decision and are standing to it.

So please tunbebes , ItalianWine , ekanDamie let the arguements cease henceforth so that we dont derail the purpose of this thread. You can book any other avenue to sort out some pending issues you guys might have

Once more congratulations to the couple and may Jah bless your union.

Proudly JW (visit jw.org for life answers)

May Jehovah in his mercy reveal to us the truth not what men throw at us. Jesus was questioned by the pharisees about his source of his power and he never called them apostates rather he felt pity for them. But in J.W the moment you begin to question the truth you become an apostate and would be treated like an outcast, someone who is going astray.

Don't bother to exchange words with her, you will be wasting valuable time. You see how rude she is, how "know it all" she feels.

I want to know Jehovah and serve him not a religion group. May him strengthens us and give us wisdom to understand his words. Have a good night sleep, I'm too tired as well to give her a reply. People like her will go out in the field ministry tomorrow and preach to people with all smiles, but just take a look at her conducts here.

Rude, disrespectful, boisterous, lack of understanding and using words that were humiliating. Between us all, who was the true Christian?

The Bible didn't lie when it said Jehovah searches the heart. Things like this makes me appreciate him more and do my best to please him not people.

Goodnight

Ha ha, Noooo. It wasn't easy AT ALL OO, my bro. Look, if I should give you a break down of so many dramas that transpired between me and popsy prior to when I became "free" from his shakles, men, you will more than pity me. I won't wanna go into that 'cos seriously, i've seen some hell men. It took me a great measure of determination and strong-head to win that man oo.

Depending on your age and social exposure, you can be in my shoes sha. You still have some problems "breaking out"?
is it worse than your dad sending you out of the house cos that's what my dad did.
