That was the reason I didn't get baptized, when I was 17 the pressure was hot like a stove, my friends were all baptized. Once you are baptized in Jw, you are strapped brother. You have to take whatever they tell you but you can't ask any question in return.

Jesus was questioned by the pharisees about his source of his power and he never called them apostates rather he felt pity for them. But in J.W the moment you begin to question the truth you become an apostate and would be treated like an outcast, someone who is going astray.

That same religion, as u said, is what broke my own family apart. Mom was a JWee, but dropped out along the line. When she left, neither me nor my lil bro followed. But the 'good mistake' my dad made was to allow me and my bro go and live with mom when he isn't around (cos he travels too often). As years passed sha, mom forcefully rewired our heads into anti-JWee till we became very much un-committed. And you know, the way them our churchies allow people express themselves didn't help matters, as me self con finally trash any idea of recounciling with the JWee thing.

Although my mom played a big part of my decision to leave JWee, one thing I never allow her do was to warp my mind against dad or JWees 'cos she so much constantly attacks them. The major reason of all behind my decision was my own volition, especially when I clocked age 25 few years back. Sometimes my dad still threatens that if i must marry, it gats be a JWee, and in my mind, I will be like... "Ogbeni, you know say all this na action film, I no fit marry JWee member that's even if them allow am"...

This post has gone viral. I didn't intend it to be so. It was just me having the pre-wedding fun and now it's turn to something else.
