I found it hard to sleep that very night. I kept rolling on my bed as scenes of that very day kept replaying itself at the back of my head.

I observed my phone vibrate, I checked the caller's ID and it was no other person but ''Juliet''. This should be like the 15th time that Juliet had dialed my number but still yet I refused to pick because I saw no reason to.
I managed to get some rest but before I did, I dialed Mayson and Thompsons numbers, but they were both unavailable. These guys were actually in the best position to put my mind at ease. They were both my buddies and my companion. My brother wasn't around, he was probably in his friend or girlfriends house, so I just laid right there on my bed all alone, watching the ceiling fan roll and counting the ceiling.
''I hope these guys are okay o'' I thought as I folded myself in my huge blanket. ''I hope they don release Thompson and Smart from the military custody. Chai! If them never release them, their own don finish o. Sojo go too drill them''.
I prayed silently. Mayson had escaped but I wondered why he switched off his phone.
I slept off unknowingly, only to wake up around 8am in the morning.
''Jesus I don late O'' I said aloud as I jumped off from the bed to the bathroom to take my bathe. I was suppose have a compulsory test by 9am which carries about 30 marks, missing the test was like missing an Exam.
I took my bucket and headed to the well to fetch water.
''Bros, good morning o'' Emafidon hailed me. I looked towards the direction where his voice was coming from, and there he was, sitting on a long bench outside, a sachet of water in his left hand, a toothbrush on his right hand and beside him was a huge ''orobo'' babe, three times my size with a huge Ukwu. Her Ukwu almost fit the entire bench, if care wasnt taken, Emafidon could have fallen off.
''Bros... I hailo'' I said. I was still angry at him but I was shocked by this new development.
''wetin be this!!!'' I said inwardly. ''wetin this guy carry come house this early mo mo (Morning)''.
I waved at the lady with a smile on my face. She smiled back at me, revealing her wide window teeth.
I fetched my water in no time and hurriedly hopped into the batheroom to take my shower. After I had gotten ready for school, I went into the kitchen to prepare the remaining noodles which I hid from my brother. Well,
My brother TY, was a voracious eater. The dude could finish a a huge bowl of eba and still wouldn't be satisfied. The carton of noodles which I bought, my brother had almost consumed everything, so I decided to keep the remaining two noodles in a safe corner were he wouldn't be able to reach but Lo and behold, my noodles were gone.
''am I seeing double abi, wetin dey happen where my noodles?'' I asked rhetorically. I searched the entire corner of the kitchen but I still wasn't able to find it.
''JESUS!!! Wetin dey xup, who con move my level na'' I wondered. I was dead hungry, I just couldn't go to school with an empty belly and sadly enough, I was getting late for school.
''God please, I hope it's not my brother that consumed my noodles o'' I prayed silently. I dialed my brothers number, within seconds he picked his phone.
TY: Bro good morning.
Me: No good morning me. You carry my indomie?
TY: hello brother you say?
Me: you carry my indomie. Na simple question I dey ask you?

Me: see guy, I dey hear you wella for here o. So no reason say na network or anything.

I needed no more explanation, it was obvious, that my little brother had eaten my noodles. But what could I do... Nothing.
I switched off my lights, carried my book and locked the door. While, I was on my way to school, my phone rang yet again and it was no other person but Juliet.. I decided to pick her phone to at least hear whatever she had to say.

Me: yeh! I can hear you. How may I help you.

Me: why, wetin we wan discuss.

I got to the campus in time. Infact, I was there before the Lecturer. The hall was filled to brim with with my coursemates and some few other carry over students, we all waited patiently for the arrival of our lecturer.
While I was in the hall I searched for the presence of Mayson and Thompson but I couldn't find them.
''oboy! Where these guys con dey like this'' I wondered as I took my sit as usual at the back of the hall. ''this test carries 30 marks, they shouldn't miss this test for no reason''.
I dialed Maysons and Thompsons number yet again for the umpteenth time but the network provider kept saying ''The number you've dialed is switched off please try again later''.
''But why Mayson number go dey switched off, no be Mayson first me jump the barbwire?'' I tot while having a flashback of that crazy incident. I was brought back to reality by Angel, my course mate and my one time crush.
''Temy, good morning, I'm sitting down beside you today o'' she said with a smile on her face. ''how you dey na?''.
I looked at her with a pretentious smile on my face.
''I'm good and you?'' I mumbled.
'I'm fine'' she said.
There was an awkward moment of silence between us, as I could observe Angel staring at me.
''Temy what's happening why are you so quiet today, this is unlike you'' she said finally breaking the silence.
I looked at her and wondered if she knew the thoughts that were running through my mind at that very moment. Like, how the heck could I reveal to her that, I had lost my girlfriend to my silly womanizer neighbour, Emafidon or that my friends and I were ambushed by the Nigerian army because of the fact that we were burning weed and in the process Thompson and Smart were caught, like were do I start from?.
I drew Angel closer to me and told her not to worry herself that I'd be fine. I saw concern written all over face.
''babe, I'm just stressed up'' I said. ''I just can't wait to be done with this test''.
''everything will be fine you hear'' she said as she drew me closer to her soft body. Angel was actually my one time love, though we didn't have the kind of intimacy we had then but we were still very good friends.
''em, Temy.. Where are your friends?'' she asked. ''Test will soon start o''
''they will soon come, don't worry'' I assured her.
In no time, our lecturer, Prof. Eze came into class, he was followed behind by our class monitor and as usual, the dude was putting on an over-sized sleeve and huge tie, I couldn't help but laugh.
''please close both doors, nobody should be allowed to come into the class immediately this test commences, please put out your books and bags, including your mobile phone, take out a sheet of paper'' Prof Eze asserted as he stood in front of the lecture hall.
''Mehn, This test go bloody o how far, I hope say the test book dey with you. Put am under the table'' I heard someone say from the back sit.
I looked back to observe who it was, only for me to see one ''big bros'' like that, with beards all over his face. He sure wasn't in 300 level, I later found out that he was a graduate but let's leave that for another episode.
''wetin you dey look?'' he asked me.
''no no.. Bros nothing o'' I stuttered. ''I think say, I been know you''.
''from where?'' he looked at inquisitively.
''Nooo.. I no mean..'' I tried to explain. Thankfully I was rescued by Prof. Eze who emphasized on need for the class to be quiet.
''you guys should keep quiet. Please can someone close the doors... Where the class monitor.. Where's that slow poison?''
the Class rep stood from his sit and went towards the door to close it, as he was about to close the door, Mayson came running into the hall with sweat dripping all over his body.
''You are late for the test can you leave this premises right now'' Prof. Eze barked at Mayson.
''sir please, I can explain, something came up sir'' Mayson tried to explain to Prof. Eze.
''see the time.. Can you see the time you are coming into my class. That's a sign of unseriousness, which I wouldn't condone''
''sir please'' Mayson begged.
''please leave before I tear my shirt... You know what that means'' Prof Eze debunked angrily.
''owain, abeg na'' Mayson kept pleading.
''please close the door''.
Mayson unfortunately missed the test, but at least he was safe and fine. Angel copied my work, word for word, I just hoped, Prof. Eze doesn't read our test scripts.
Well, after the test, I went over to see Mayson, who was waiting patiently outside for me to finish the test. He explained his whole ordeal to me on how he escaped and went into hiding.
''you don hear from Thompson and Smart?'' I asked
''NOoo. I just hope say them dey okay'' Mayson said.
''sojo go too drill those men o... Chai all becaus of ordinary weed'' I emphasised. ''Thank God say no be them catch o. I for don die since''.
I dialed Juliets number several times, because she happened to book an appointment with me but it wasn't reachable, so I went home.
